Unless you have an allergy (which you don't, otherwise you would not have eaten what you thought were cooked shrimp) the chances are 99.9999% that you will feel no ill effect.

Contrary to belief yes it is. There are a few dishes that can make use of raw shrimp, but it is made in a manner that most of the bacteria is eliminated. I mean eating a raw shrimp is as unhealthy as eating raw oysters, but people still eat raw oysters. Do you see the point I'm trying to make? Use of lemon or vinegar can rid of much of the harmful bacteria on shrimp, since it's highly acidic, some Mexican cuisine make use of this, as well as Filipino and Thai dishes (off the top of my head). It's not necessarily a health issue if you made the right precautions, I mean it really irritates me how the mind set of people limit the use of certain ingredients. For me the true essence of cooking is true experience, if you did not experience it or not tried to then you can not say for sure. Just keep in line with health concerns. To finish off also, I've eaten shrimp uncooked, prepared with balsamic vinegar and lemon to be eaten like a cocktail, and i wasn't hospitalized. It was quite refreshing actually.

Are you pregnant, elderly, do you have an iodine allergy/seafood allergy? If you start to feel ill, have any swelling of the mouth or vomiting, call your Doctor immediately.

Aside from those issues, if you are a healthy adult without allergies to seafood, you should have absolutely no problem. Raw shrimp is served at sushi restaurants as "sweet shrimp" all the time...it is very tasty, but I personally do not care for the consistency, so I do not order it often.

You will probably be fine...though I have no idea how you would do that. Uncooked shrimp are grey...they turn pink when cooked. I wouldn't worry. You can eat sushi-grade raw shrimp.

I am a high trained professional in this area. You will be needing to look for any of the following syptoms: Diahrrea, Vomiting, Bloody/loose stools, fever, headache or abdominal cramps. If you have any symptoms go to the ER immediatly. I am ServSafe certified. I know what I am talking about. Tell your doctors to contact a local restaurant that has a ServSafe book in there reach as I cannot find mine at the time.

The most you may get is diarrhea or a stomach ache. What is in shrimp sushi? it's raw and people eat it all the time

Could go either way. Wait a while and see how you feel. Unlikely to be fatal more likely to be uncomfy.
