all depends on how the guy carries himself.....acts his age, or acts mature. doesn't want a mommy figure. etc. doesn't look at dating an older woman as a knotch on his belt to brag about to his buddies. don't really want to put a specific age, - as long as they're not jailbate - some relationships just work out better when there is an age difference between them.

Too young for me is so young that he is still immature and can't handle an adult relationship. (Or underage. If I might have to go to jail, that is too young : ).
Before I got married (to my much younger husband), I dated exclusively younger men. My feeling was that, given that women are so desperate and rushed to get married (and the way our society treats unmarried women, who can really blame them?), all the men my own age (30s) were picked over. They either had been snapped up years before, or there was something so wrong with them that they weren't worth the trouble. You know that expression, men are like parking spaces, all the good ones are taken and the available ones are handicapped? It is too true. But the younger ones, there were still some quality guys among the singletons.

I could do lots of silly answers to this one - but they all make me sound desperate - WHICH I AM NOT!
So - seriously?
One would have to have things in common.
Conversation. Music. Friends.
I could not envisage having a relationship with someone whose music I would request turned down, conversation that I would need translated and friends whose homework I would be correcting!
I think perhaps 10 years in either direction for either partner is pretty much about the limit - but rules are meant to be broken and I know of at least two relationships where there is a big age cap - one where the man is in his 50's and the girl is 30 and one where the woman is 50 and the guy is 80!
Only one though where the woman is in her 70's and the guy in his 50's.
But they all work - so why not?
Just not for me thats all!

It depends on the woman, and their age.
For some, it's an ego boost, like having a "boy toy". Similar to an older man who dates a much younger woman, to boost their self esteem and make them feel younger.
In Hollywood, it seems to be a hot trend...for instance, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, or Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.
These women have the money to keep up face lifts to look the age of the younger man they are dating.

Personally, more than 8 years older or younger is out of the question.
Preferably, not more than 2 years younger or 5 years older.

I'm married, but I think younger men are very attractive... probably no younger than 25. Just my personal taste... and they have to show some kind of intelligence and maturity.
Update: to the poster, "Summer:" Adults having sex with minors under the age of 16 is a crime, ranging from statutory rape to unlawful criminal sexual activity with a minor, depending on where you live (wikipedia). You could be arrested, charged and sent to jail.

I've never been drawn to younger men, and rarely men my own age. I've always been attracted to older men. That's not to say it will never happen, it just hasn't yet. But then again, I have very few friends my own age or younger. Most of my friends are significantly older than me.

I really have no desire to date a younger man at all (well, if I wasn't married that is.) I guess they guy would have to be VERY mature and set in life.
