Yes and when you are 30 and a parent yourself (and hopefully, you will NOT have a teenage daughter by that time) you will appreciate it. There are so many fun things to do in life, don't worry about dating until later. Hang out with your friends and have fun. I didn't start dating until I was almost 17 and I really wished I would have been more picky about who I dated.

what's the big deal and how old are you? why do so many young people feel they have to "date" at such a young age? 16 is a good age to start dating. i didn't really date til i was 17. what's the hurry?

I'm 41, my parents didn't let me date until I was 16, and yes, I survived. So yes, you will get through it.

Actually, no one has ever been known to die from not dating.
