That is, if Jesus did not rise from the dead (and if it could be proven that he did not), would that mean the end of Christianity, since the entire religion depends on it?

Absolutely.

If he didn't rise from the dead, neither can they. There would be no salvation and no reason to be a Christian.

i think so... but the Christian faith does not rest on man's "discoveries" or proofs. If it did, what kind of religion would it be?
