The problem with a Worst Answer that takes away points is that some people will give that award to someone whose answer they don't like, just like they give Best Answer to someone whose answer best agrees with their beliefs. Now, if there were no penalty of points, I would have no problem with it and would gladly accept a Worst Answer award (sort of a Y!A equivalent of the Razzies). Just don't penalize someone for it.

There are a lot of good suggestions, and good reasons why some wont work. Another suggestion, all voters that vote for a best, can also vote for a worst, the asker can only vote for the best. The penalty for the worst is just the loss of 2 points they hoped to gain by answering. That way the good cant really be penalized to bad. Also it might keep like minded answers to questions. Then if one is compelled to answer against the grain, they only sacrifice 2 points.

I'm for it, but instead of the -10 points, just have it show up as a percentage, and charge the question asker a point for using the feature. That way, there is no chance of a troll using against someone they don't like, and it doesn't impact true answer givers - but it can be used for someone to inspect a person's account to see if they are credible or not.

Then trolls could vote "worst answer" for people they don't like & take away 10 points...this isn't going to fix the problem.
I suspect that the only thing that is would be having live people monitoring the boards & dealing with them immediately.

I just asked a question about my upcoming handfasting, all the answers were beautiful with one exception. Summerbluerose answered by telling me I needed to change my ways, repent and that I was going to hell. It is still burning me up. Why do people feel they have to be so hate-full? I'd love to be able to deduct some points from her.

I think there should be a Worst Answer feature, but they shouldn't be penalized ten points - rather, they should get a reward.
I'm thinking a good prize would be an all-expenses paid date with the "What Should I Do?" Retard. (Although, that might be a little bit awkward if the prize-winner were male.)

Not really .... Just think .....
A person who asked the question about "Do you believe in the existence of Jesus Christ", he / she is a christian.....
Person A answer "Absolutely, he is a third of the trinity, the son of god and god himself, he is the messiah, he is .... bla bla bla .... and god loves you, jesus loves you, god bless"
Person B Answer "Yes, Jesus is real, and he live in me"
Person C Answered "Nope, I sincerely doubt he is real, there is no record of him other then in the bible"
Who do you think will get "Worst Answer" ...... in person view, Person C, since he is not a Christian ......
(This can work both ways too).
