If science explains everything, what did the point exist in, what were the conditions that the singularity was subjected to PRIOR to the Big Bang? Was the universe already here? If the Big Bang created the universe, what held the singularity?

Science doesn't explain the things we don't have the evidence or the means with which to test it. In order for something to be scientifically proven, you must follow the five steps of the scientific method. In this case, we have the hypothesis. But it is very difficult to create a test situation for a big bang. You might try thinking up a way to do this to help further the field along. Science is ever-growing. It can explain everything eventually. But you have to crawl before you can walk.

> play Devil's advocate
Devil's Advocate is an attorney-like position arguing against the sainting of someone. I'm a protestant. Protestants don't have saints. Saints are for Catholics.

> If science explains everything
It doesn't. What gave you that idea?

> what were the conditions that the singularity was subjected to PRIOR to the Big Bang?
There was a space that did not have the physical properties and laws of our universe.

Now a question for you:
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God.

So - let's go back to before the beginning. Who spoke the Word?

That's as useful a question as asking about "before" the Big Bang.

If science explains everything,
-- It doesn't and we don't claim that it does.

what did the point exist in
-- Don't know.

what were the conditions that the singularity was subjected to PRIOR to the Big Bang?
-- Don't know

Was the universe already here?
-- Don't know

If the Big Bang created the universe, what held the singularity?
-- Don't know. Maybe nothing held it.

The fact that I don't know does not mean that God exists. Rather, it means we are not smart enough to figure it out yet.

False assumption.

Science does not claim to have explained everything.

Prior to the big bang, string theory has some suggestions. Experiments need to be designed to test them.

For your last question, the universe was the singularity and the singularity was the universe. The Big Band was not an explosion IN space, but an explosion OF space.

as i am sure you know, the singularity was the universe, it was not anywhere, as the whole of space and time was on th inside of it.

I don't have much expertise here but i am not sure if referring to it as a singularity is even accurate.

nothing existed before the big bang because time and space did not exist yet, where was literally nothing , there was not even empty space around the singularity. It was less than empty space

As the theory goes....prior to the "Big Bang" that created the universe the only thing existing at the time was Donald Trumps hair.

These questions are exactly why we need science. If there is a God, he endowed us with ability to reason and discover answers on our own, and it would be a shame to waste such an obvious gift. If God does not exist, then we owe it to ourselves and our children to learn about this place we live in. Either way, science is the method by which we learn about the universe, regardless of whether or not a creator exists.

If you do not know the answer to a question, you should seek to figure it out.

Something had to exist at the beginning, some say it is energy others say it is God, that is a fact (unless it was proven that the universe moves in a circle, no real evidence to support this). This first thing is unknown, and there is speculation, but in reality speculation is all that it is. Humans, have gazed at this question since the earliest times yet it is likely that we will never know the answer.

The universe is functionally different from the world we live in within our atmosphere. The world was once thought flat, we had no proof of evolution, we couldn't mathematically prove the speed of light. However all of these have to date been proven and are out there for all of us to view who have the capacity to do so. However, there are a few groups who are ignorant to these facts and who like to live secluded from the scientific world. The proof is overwhelming and so it's even taught in our children's schools. Those who turn a blind eye are only hurting themselves. Dust and sand has the natural tendency towards forming swirls of matter that resemble universes. E=mc2 can tell you a small amount of mass can produce alot of energy.

By george,he's got it! Quick, call the Nobel Prize science subcommittee...a cosmological mobius strip of penny neutrons held together by an elegant singularity of unimaginable proportions, led by the Prime Unit of Time itself, connecting past, present and future in an nonobservable manifestation of granulated subatomic demineralization with Primordial Soup on the side! By Jove, this is it!
