i always feel like i'm in a bad mood, but honestly i'm a pretty happy person and i'm bringing my BF down, it's KILLLING me. i just want to know what cause's it and how can you just pick yourself up and be happy with what you have? i'm a grateful person, i just dont always show it. i just want to be HAPPY!!!

I agree that what you eat can have an effect on how you feel: When I get too much sugar without enough rest, I become an emotional basketcase.

Or you could have a hormonal imbalance, or an imbalance with the chemicals in your brain.

Have you tried an exercise program? Not one of the 'feel the burn' varieties, but just something to help rev you up. And a little sunshine: Some forms of depression are linked to seasonal deprivation of sunlight.

And yes, a visit with a good counselor is a good idea. Between that and maybe medicine- if it's called for- you should be better soon.

Man this sounds familiar, at least your good enough to step up and notice it's a problem, let him know it's not him; it's just your shinny personality comming through. Your other cannot fix it, he will go insane trying too, or shut down completely which will only make things worse. Be happy in knowing it is better to feel alot than feel nothing at all, focus on positive things; if your a pessimist there's always something to put you in a bad mood.

I drink tons of mountain dew, and load myself with sugar everyday, it does not cause mood swings; i assure you. Don't make excuses and get too the bottom of it, or just learn to live with it; and find someone that will accept you for the way you are.

Nobody can be happy all the type, we all have mood swings now and then. But you should not bring your BF down because you feel down yourself.
You mentioned one way to be "happy" yourself, you have to be satisfied with what you have got.

Well, you must not be happy if you act like that all the time. You need to get some counseling. Medication won't fix it--only counseling will. You have to work through whatever it is that is way down inside you

definite becuase caffeine is a drug too. in case you stop haveing you hassle-free does of caffeine you are able to pass into withdrawls. you are able to get issues, mood swings, and get sick on your abdomen. it really is totally addictve.

What you eat has a direct impact on how you feel. If you eat junk, you'll be in a bad mood. If you eat a lot of sugar, you'll have huge mood swings up and down.
