Well since your baby hasnt been born yet-not much. After words, spanish music CD's,spanish books,Spanish DVD's... Music is a great for children to hear the pronunciation... and the sound of the language. You can read to your baby in Spanish, and also watch Spanish Language DVD's-not just Dora-but if it has the option to set up a different language-choose Spanish. Having said this-if you really dont speak the language it will be very hard to teach it to your baby. Maybe if/when you go back to work you can find a Spanish Speaking caregiver who will teach your baby Spanish. In my case I would love my kids to be bilingual in French-however I dont speak it fluently enough to teach it to them. So for me it's school, music Cd's and simple books.. and then school will do it for me ;) (we're in Canada)

I think the word you want is in fact ' compromiso ' as I know it to be used in just such a state. However you can attenuate and use ' acuerdo ' or ' de acuerdo ' which is the final stage anyway. To be in accord or agreement.

The word you're looking for is "concesión". Hacer concesiones, llegar a un arreglo, término medio.

In the future you may be interested in going to the sight "babelfish" which allows you to enter a word or test and have it translated in the available languages in the drop down list.
