I have depression too. Since you can't afford to see a Dr. I'll tell what my Dr. suggested I do is journal everthing all my feelings whatever they are. Try to get in sun as much as possible too it helps too. Do you have close friend you trust? Talking it out also is a good way to unbottle the emotions your feeling. St John Warts is a all natural. A friend of mine took that for her depression and it worked for her. You can get it any drug store or Wal-Mart. But try the other thing frist. There are also free clinics out there too if your depression get worst. There should also be a hot line that you could call in your town too. check all this out. Good luck.

I do a very similar thing. The best thing you can do is see a doctor. I am currently on a low dose of depression Medication and it has changed my lie completely. I have been able to release my emotions much better. Also if you are feeling specific emotions towards someone than write them down. Trust me even if you decide not to give them a the note or something it will at least help you sort out your problems in a logical way.

You may or may not suffer from depression, it may just be that you are overloaded with unexpressed emotion. This would cause you to feel inadequate and unhappy. That is different from real depression, which is a chemical imbalance. It sounds like you may have a communication problem.. Since you have little to no funds for help a good thing that you could do to release emotion that you have suppressed is to journal. I know it does not sound like much but that is what I thought when it was told to me. I can tell you that is very therapeutic as a release as I found out. Also maybe writing down some things that you think and feel in general would help you to sort out things that you may need to communicate, whether it be standing up for yourself or lack of self esteem you will be able to see a pattern of thought that may need to be adjusted for you to be better able to communicate rather than stuff things down. For help see my space at http://www.myspace.com/lifesmagic You can message me there. PEACE!

Go to your local library or book store and check out a self help book called "Feeling Good" by David Burns. In it, he describes techniques used in therapy to help people with depression. There are exercises you can do to overcome negative thoughts and feelings. It doesn't cost money to keep a kind of mood journal where you write down stuff that's bothering you and, in your case, get in touch with your emotions.

talk 2 sum 1. unload your burdens on to a therapist. talking to friends and family is okay but u may need a little outside help and a therapist has no previous knowledge of u or your life so is totally neutral. it really does help. talking to your doctors a good way of starting out he can referr u to a therapist. good luck

talk to a psychiatrist or psychologist...it helps. you can talk to them about things you dont want to tell anybody else, and they can also put you on antidepressants and then you wont feel so depressed all the time =)

don't let it bottle up! Talk to people whenever they disturb, bother, or do something annoying. I know you are afraid of hurting their feelings and ...what if they will hate you for that.. and bla bla blah. Just DO IT!
