For those who strongly believe in a particular religion, you therefore have to dismiss all other religions, correct? I mean if you believe in Jesus, you certainly don't believe that Mohamed was a prophet, right? He had to be some sort of misguided individual or delusional, or maybe just a con artist. The same is true vice versa if you believe in Mohamed. And if you're Christian or maybe Islam, you don't believe in Budha, and you know that Zeus was just a myth - like all other religions. All those other religiouns had to be man-made or invented, correct? There are no OTHER gods. Those 1000's of other religions are made up.
Well atheists believe in the same thing about all those other religions. The only difference is they also know that your religion and god are made up.

So then aren't atheists and religious folks almost the same in their religious beliefs?

First of all atheists or atheism is not a religion, it is a simple term to describe those folks with no belief whatsoever in god(s)
Only difference is we 'believe' in one less 'god' than any religious person (unless their religion has like more than one god). You cannot say we are the same, we have no beliefs in supernatural beings!! we are open to the possibility of something existing but until evidence comes to light, all gods are myths, and based purely on blind faith and comfort.

Atheism isn't a faith, so it has no corporation being next to non secular symbols. If atheists desire a placard, they ought to have a separate reveal. And in the event that they did make a reveal and somebody placed a circulate next to it, the atheists could in all possibility attempt to to sue somebody. this entire element is nonsense. i'm for abolishing faith from Christmas, by the way, as long as we abolish the national trip element of it, don't get wreck day paintings anymore, and if we end figuring out to purchase provides via fact provides are meant to be reflective of the Christian view that God gave the human race the present of Jesus Christ. Charities could go through and retailers could go through, yet who cares. This scuffling with over faith has to end, and if capitalism suffers for it as a result, who cares. we've Obama now, so we don't desire God or money.

For the most part you're right. Most believers do believe that other religions are false, no matter what particular religion they believe in.

The one major difference between Atheists and the Religious is that Atheists don't believe in extra-natural forces guiding or watching their every move and thought. They don't blame mental illnesses on "Demons" or "Jinn". They live for the now, not "Storing up in the kingdom of heaven". They take responsibility for their actions.

Not really, we do not dismiss religion with no god in it.

I think most Atheist do have certain respect for Buddhism and buddha for providing a way to live and not a god to pray. Buddhism is not a religion with god.

We Just do not believe in gods and general and especially something as ridiculous as a loud mouth, attention seeking god all powerful creation god who chose to be quiet and silent and have problem with showing his face with his omni-potent and omnipresence capability.

So in general, you are generalising without knowing the background ...... like most other one track mind christians (Not all Christians, but those who does not bother to check other religions, since they feel they are one up against all others as they have a powerful sky papa, but quick to belittle others).

religious folks have been living off thousands of years of lies..... Atheist have been trying to break out of that earthly habit.... no gods.... but stupid religious people have a history of murdering people trying to tell the truth.... that is why freedom of religion is so important it stops things like witch hunts for one giving us freedom of expression and speech.
until of course people like the Bushes come along and try to stop it.

If you completely close your mind, in the way that theists often prefer to do, then I can completely understand how you might come up with such a dumb analogy.

Atheists don't have religious beliefs (unless they're Buddhist, etc.).

Atheists are monotheists minus one god.
