The Census currently estimates that there is a net migration of 2.2222 people per minute. Since people also leave the country, more than this come in.

Well there are more than a million people immigrating legally every year, and there are 2-3 million coming in illegally every year.
Thats not counting the people on tourist, student and work visas etc...

One legal immigrant enters the US every 6 minutes according to my calculations. Illegals would just be a guess.
