"Trinity" is not in any Bible. It is a deductive doctrine, but scripturally sound. The strongest verse in the Bible concerning the Trinity is:
1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Many Bible's to not have this verse. They mix it with verse 8 which talks about the spirit, the water and the blood. So if your Bible does not have this passage, then yes, your Bible is out of date.
"Rapture" is also not in the Bible. It simply means "caught up." It is derived from 1 Thes. 4:13-18, and 1 Cor. 15:50-57.
The serpent being the Devil:
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
He's identified as the tempter:
1Th 3:5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
Satan is in the business of tempting. So whenever temptation is occurring, it is the work of Satan or at least of his minions.
Gen. 3:15 certainly implies that the serpent is Satan because it identifies his role.
2 Corinthians 11:3,14 ties Satan to being the serpent.
Hope this helps.

Markyyy, you are correct that the words Trinity and Rapture, do not appear in the Bible, but neither does the word Bible appear either, and we know it exists.
If you have seen my previous answers on the Trinity and the Rapture, then you know what Bible verses I will use to support my beliefs.
But I can answer what bothers you the most. Revelation 12:9 says:
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
I hope this helps.

You are correct that the Trinity and Rapture are not biblical. The Rapture is a Protestant invented idea. The Trinity was developed in the early Church, however, it does have roots in scripture as there are 3 main spiritual (divine-like beings in scripture) this is how the early Church came to the idea of the Trinity. It is stated that Satan is the ultimate cause of all temptations, so one could then conclude that as the snake did tempt, and ultimately trick Eve, it was Satan.

It all depends on which translation of the Bible you are reading. There is no such thing as an outdated Bible. The Bible is the Bible, and will always be the Bible. But, there are different translations. You do not say which translation you are reading. I use the King James Version (KJV), which most people today do not like to use. There are versions which are in modern English, which sometimes don't seem to say the same things as the KJV.
Serious Bible students like to own several different translations, in order to compare what they are studying.
My Bible doesn't say anything about Trinity, Rapture, or a snake, either.

you just have a VERSION of the Bible which is what all of them are, none of them are outdated! Revelation 12:9 says "so sown the great dragon was hurled the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth ,he and his angles were hurled down with him." This original serpent is mentioned in Gen. 3:1-6 were he is identified as the one who uses a serpent in eden as a visible mouthpiece in misleading Eve. 2 Cor.11:3,14 & John 8:44 he appears as an angel of light but is the father of lies!2 Thess.2:9,10 Also the other words are notmentioned in the Bible.

rapture is defined in the bible:For the record, the word “rapture” comes from the Latin word rapturo, which is a translation of the Greek verb "caught up" that’s found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. You can call it the “pre-trib rapture,” the “pre-trib rapturo,” or the “pre-trib caught up” - it's all the same thing.
direct quote.
christian use Elohim as evidence for the trinity.
Jewish word refers to the triun nature of god.
website below discusses it in detail if your interested.
as for the snake as Satan, the other people who answered discussed that.
I'm no expert, just your average Joe.

no they are not there. but if you read close you can learn the identity of the serpent. The rapture is a false teaching that came out in the 18th or 19th century. the trinity is not mentioned though the parts are all mentioned individually. hope this helps. God Bless You

Actually the Bible refers to Satan as the original serpent in Revelation 12:9 and also at Revelation 20:2.
You won't find the words rapture or Trinity in your Bible or any other, because those words were made-up by men, not orginally put in the bible by God. The ideas behind those words too are from men. The Bible does NOT support those ideas.
People use the scripture found at -1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 as a basis of belief in the rapture. It says, "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant concerning those who are sleeping in death; that you may not sorrow just as the rest also do who have no hope. For if our faith is that Jesus died and rose again, so, too, those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus God will bring with him. For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord shall in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Consequently keep comforting one another with these words.”
But the popular belief is that the rapture will happen to those alive and conscience. But according to this scripture that's not true, because it states that those will be "asleep in death." And another thing - The rapture is to take everyone to heaven at once - but the scripture states that this is the "first resurrection" indicating that there will be another resurrection. Just something for you to think about.

Come on, are you serious? Because a particular word is not in the Bible means it doesn't exist? The words Trinity and Rapture are words that came from the ideas and descriptions of events in the Bible.
I guess there is no such thing as a doorknob since it's not listed in the Bible.
Get a grip.
