The White House Dinner is a black tie state dinner meaning tuxedo or traditional formal garments of your nation of origin is required..

If you were wearing a tuxedo the proper tie color would be black... If you are a dignatary expected to wear the formal traditional outfit your country, the entire ensemble including the tie would have already been provided to you by your countried international relations department..

I suggest you read the book provided to you by your country listing etiquette when greeting dignataries from other countries, and quickly ask for an amendment regarding this particular dinner and any special etiquette that may be require..

If you are a server or other domestic help.. Your attrite will be provided by the White House, if a piece of your uniform for the evening is missing contact your department for a replacement of that part..

If you are a photographer or other non-domestic media participant your news agency provided the apparel contact them for instructions and replacement part to attire...

Although I do not believe you are in anyway connected with the Black Tie State Dinner for the Queen... If you were this would all be second nature as you would have been briefed on what to expect and your apparel and would know exactly what to do and wear...

Listen, we live in a public society, and a land of freedoms. Strip down naked, leap over the fences, and streak buck-naked out on the lawn. Secret Service probably won't shoot you, seeing how they're very professional with their weapons. But... at least you'll have your name and identity shared on world news with that of the Queen's and the President's. That's a ... mighty accomplishment in my book.

Of course, I actually have a white tie. I'm not kidding. I'm very professional and reserved. I would NEVER do such a thing. But would I laugh if it happened? Yes. I would.

Just tie a tube sock into a neat bow around your neck. I'm sure no one will notice the difference.

The answer is obvious, to anyone else. Shave your chest and paint a white tie onto it. de-de-de.

Women don't wear ties to formal events. You need a formal gown or suit.
