I am an artist and I can draw really well, the problem is when someone asks me to draw on the computer for them, it comes outpretty crappy. If only my mouse were a pen....

The best program that allows you to draw on your computer is Autodesk's Sketchbook pro ( Link Below ). Photoshop, Corel and Painter are decent, but Sketchbook pro is geared towards sketching on your computer using a tablet. Most of my friends who design footwear professionally love to use Sketchbook to get sketches and Ideas out quickly without having to scan images doodled onto paper.

Tablets come in all shapes and sizes...and of course prices. The cheapest one I have found is at Geeks.com http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=WP8060&cpc=SCH

I have used it and Its pretty decent. It allows you to get a feel of drawing while looking at your screen ( unless your lucky enough to have a tablet PC ) Drawing on a tablet will take some getting used to, but in the end its all worth it.

Hope this helps.

I'd say CorelDraw. It gives a really authentic look oppose to a computer generated image. The best thing is that you don't have to buy all the art supplies.

It works best if you own a Wacom tablet (mouse pen).

I love to draw using Photoshop on my MacBook Pro. It lets my "fingers do the talking." Sort of a high-tech way to fingerpaint.

I haven't used Flash...yet!

I have seen some miracles done in Flash. Like this one and yes it is only done in Flash.
