God must have known that it would be very unsuccessful. Starting with the apple, the flood, and the fact that only 33% of the people in the world are christians, he must of known that by creating us, he would be condemning so many of us to an eternity of suffering. Please answer this question without talking about free will.

Not all christians believe in a heaven and a hell... it is more a different plane... I know that seems out there, but I am a devout christian, a youth minister and I do not believe in hell and I do not believe that if you are a different religion that you are going to hell... you are still part of God's creation, one of God's children... I believe that all will be together wherever that is after life...that being said... I have no idea why God created this universe, I do believe that we can not know... it is not like God thinks the same way as humans even though I am sure it is hard to take that as an answer since so many "christians" have probably told you the "absolute facts" about God... truth is, there are no absolute facts... and that is how christians shoot themselves when they are trying to spread God's love, they proclaim to know it all and they can not... We can not know, perhaps in the after this universe or plane life we will get some sort of insight.

God first created Heaven, and then a whole lot of angels, satan, Jesus and the holy spirit. Everyone loved Him, because they were in heaven, where it seems His love is so great that how could you not love Him. Then God realized no one could experience His true love, unless they had a choice so He created a universe so far away that anyone who loved God here despite the problems on Earth, despite the lack of proof, and the many questionable tales of God, Gods, and the people that follow said Gods these people still loved Him.

And then when His followers reach 50% He will start forth an Armaggedon, in which good will have the ultimate battle against evil in which good shall triumph, and a new Earth will be born while the 50% go to heaven, and the other 50% go to hell.

The Demiurge concept of Gnostic Christianity says that God is a vain, selfish, cruel being that created the world so it could have worshipers.

It never cared about us- it just wanted us to blindly obey and adore him.

He created Adam and Eve in ignorance and purity- perfect little lemmings.

It was Jesus, in defiance of his father, who took the form of a snake and entered the Garden of Eden and taught them the knowledge of Good and Evil.

Just look at why God caused the flood- because they were not worshiping him.

Why did God destroy Sodom and Gemorah? They were not worshiping him.

What is the 1st and most important commandment? Worship him.

If that's not vanity, then what is? A loving God would not care if it is worshiped, it would love unconditionally.

The vain arrogant Demiurge God concept fits the God described in the Old Testament far more closely than a belief in a loving deity.

It's a God to be feared, it's a jealous God, a vain God, a God with a huge ego problem.

Free willy. Do we ever tell you not to answer without using the word logic or intelligence?

I'm not even sure what free will has to do with this except that you live in a land where you are allowed the free will to challange religion without having your head cut off.

Free will. I am free to talk about free will all I want.

God created the world because he has free will. I would challange just about every statement you make here starting with the question so that what i'll answer too.

He is not the Christian God, He is God, There is none other. That you don't believe in Him doesn't make it a myth.

First of all there is no Christian God or Budhist's God or anything else. There is only one true and perfect God.Secondly there was not apple or melon or floor or anything else...Everything is allegorical...And to close, you have to know that it is impossible to underestand the true reason why created this world. To do so you have to find a Saint and ask him to show you how to increase your conciousness in order to be able to understand God,soemthing wich is not easy at all.Otherwise,it's like a dog asking to understand Einsteins' theory of relativity :P. I hope that you can understand me my friend...

To solve the angelic conflict. You don't get it. Everyone is
born condemned under Adam, all of us have to make a choice
to believe. Just because you're in a Christian home doesn't
make you a Christian.

God Who is completely happy in Himself did not need to create us or anything else but He decided to share His perfect love with us,when the final judgment is over all those who are with God will indeed know and share His perfect love and happiness forever, and this will have made it all worthwhile.

To make a place where man could live and walk with God.

As for the success part, he put man in charge of the earth, so success is up to us, and it is up to each of us to determine if we want an eternity of suffering, or make something better out of our lives by following HIM!!!

Actually, that was the Jewish G-d,YWHA,Jehovah,etc. Theoelogically the claim was staked out long before Christ. How come these questions are never directed toward Judeo-Christianity,i.e. Christians & Jews?
