How is my little girl doing?

In reality mija means "my daugther", but remember that in the latin culture families are very close together so you may call mom your grandma and your aunts, and they may call you daughter or mija.

Está bien mija. = It's ok, dear.
Está bien, mija? = Is that okay, dear?

Mija = mi hija
It doesn't really mean "daughter," it's more like "my dear" or "sweetie" or "hun".

(The masculine form can also be used. Mijo.)

It is OK my daughter (if reassuring)
Are you well my daughter? (if asking about your health)
Is it OK my daughter? (if asking about an opinion)

mija = mi hija

it is also used by some people (older) when addresing themselves to young people even though you may not be their daughter.

The correct way of saying this is:

"Está bien mi hija?"------ "My hija" means My daughter.
But "hija" is also used as a affectionate word or even like saying; woman, girl. So I would translate this as; "Is it right girl?" or formal, polite way of speaking or Mexican speech; Are you fine girl/woman?

Someone who doesn't know you well, seems to be enquiring after your health. "Are you all right, Mija?"
