Do you believe that boxing is a sport that is quickly fading away from the 'pop culture' scene? Have other sports such as Pryde and the UFC taken over as the dominant force in the sports scene? And do you believe that the recent De La Hoya/Mayweather fight did enough to justify your answer?

boxing is very popular in europe, mexico, etc. Right now here in the states with no American champs or real contenders (besides floyd and is he saying he may retire) it is hard for Americans to be excited about the sport. Look at MLB, for a while it was struggling with all of the imports but now people have accepted what the game has become, same with the NBA and all the European players, once people except this fact they will be able to enjoy the sport again. So many good fighters around
