Hmm I was just pondering things today... a few random thoughts came to mind...

I'm talking from a Christian perspective here, being that the one I have.
I guess this would be aimed at anyone from any religion... just switch respectively the Holy days and Holy places I mention, with your own.

I was just wondering... even if one is destined for Hell... if they die on a Sunday... would they still go to Hell? 'Cause Sunday is a good day, right? Do you think it would make a difference if you died on a Holy day as opposed to any other?

And what if you die in a Church? 'Cause a Church is a sanctuary, a Holy place. I won't believe for a second that people could be sucked into Hell from a Church.

What if... they die in a Church on a Sunday? o__o Double bonus, lol.

Imagining one was destined for Hell, but met one of the criteria above? Do you think they'd still go to Hell?

Lol... random thoughts here. Kinda silly really.

Just wondering what you all thought, lol.

Edit: Sorry I meant to say "I CAN'T believe for a second that people could be sucked into Hell from a Church."

Not I won't, if that's how it is, lol.

Lol hmm, most people don't think it would make a difference... I guess you're right, it's about what you do in life, not where or when you die...

I was just intrigued by such a random thought in my lil old head, LOL. Hmm. Thanks for all your thoughts, anyways :o)

Good on you for letting those thoughts roll around in your head. It's fun, hey? Anyway, I agree with those who said it is your own spiritual state that determines where you go when you die. Death is just a doorway that we pass through. Does who and what you are change, just because you pass through a doorway?

Edit: Your perspective might change if what you find on the other side of the door is truly amazing and mind-blowing, but you will still essentially be yourself, and would have to progress and learn from where you were at the time.

the same as if u die on a Monday! :)
in the eyes of God, everyday is Holy day, it's only that Sunday is reserved & dedicated for prayer for those who follow Christianity.
In Islam, Friday is the Holy Day. In some other religions, Thursday.
it's just so that people from those faiths get together on that day & pray together to increase the effectiveness of prayer. (as u know if 2 or more people pray it's more effective).

I don't care where you die, if u have been a good person, you'll reap the rewards & if bad same... eg Gandhi wass killed on the street, does that make a difference? I don't know, perhaps u r right but it doesn't make sense to me.
I'm sorry if I sound critical, I don't mean to. I'm just expressing my point of view.
I used to belike you & think in terms of dogma & still am, but am learning to think for myself, even if I'm a Christian.

Well, in my opinion, I think if you die on a sunday, then they will take your body, and either cremate it, or put it in the ground. If in the ground, you will be digested into simple sugars and amino acids, and then absorbed by bacteria and funghi. Then, these will have there way with the nutrients etc etc. No, you wont end up in heaven, or hell, regardless of the place or day of death.

the same thing that would happen if you died any day of the week- The place where you may be on a sunday does not save you. There are people who go to Church that will not be in heaven, due to the fact they have not admitted they need Jesus to save them. Church does not save. The scriptures tell us, it is a matter of the heart, not a place.

The day you die on makes a big difference. Try to avoid Thursdays if possible. Also avoid Saturdays, Wednesdays, Mondays, Fridays, Tuesdays, and Sundays.

However, wherever, whenever, standing up, sitting down or lying in bed, lying on the road, on a monkeys lap, in a meat grinder, burning bushes, heads up or whatever. It does not matter. One is bound to any place he is destined to be. Besides, heaven and hell is just a state of mind.

The same thing that happens if you die on any other day, life goes on without you.

I don't see what difference it would make to what day you died relating to any religion beliefs.

The day of the week you die does not matter as neither does the deeds one does in this life. The only way to heaven is through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I know this offends some, and for them I pray.

If you are a Christian, you know you have to accept Christ as your Savior to go to Heaven. Even if you die on Sunday, even if you die in a Church, if you haven't accepted Christ, you won't go to Heaven.
