God does give free choice and okay we do not have a choice to be born or not, however thus the reason for Adam and Eve to "choose" weather or not that they will want to keep being alive and meet the conditions upon which that is granted by leaveing the tree of good and evil alone, and we of course have a choice and with all due respect to your claim of being atheist, i claim there is no such thing. Of all the information that is out there, the greatest part of which you and i know nothing about can God live there? Of course HE can and if your honest then God can live where you know nothing about, also now lets take this a bit further, if you took say a rocket or computer and put the raw materials into a container and shook it or get lightning to strike it would you get that item or "must" you take and design and make it, okay you were designed by a creator, now the last part of this of all the countrys that you would feel save in living where life has some value The Ten Commandments [not suggestions] are the basis for those country's laws and so if the ten commandments are true so is the rest, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org God bless you. If Adam and Eve had had a choice to be created, it implies that they were already existent, and therefore not created.
To have freedom of will you must first have being, which according to our beliefs is given by God, but even if you don't believe that God gave you being, still the fact remain that if it was even given by chance, your being was not received by your own self but by factors outside of you out of your control. You did not receive existence by your own accord. The argument is circular and self-defeating
The only way that you could say I choose to exist is if you were already existent, which is an absurdity that resembles the snake that eats itself by the tail. If it ate itself then how could he live to have eaten herself in the first place, right?
I am also stepping in and thinking, but with logic in my side.

Smirk! Come on you can do better then that I am sure. Who has free will to be born. You do have free choice to live after being born do you not or do you?? The truth is God has made each person for a purpose you have a choice to be in God's will or not to be in His will. In other words obedience or disobedience. Praying for you. Seriously. And remember in your opinion has athetist i am sure pray is just a nice sentiment but to a Christian it is powerful.

Your question ASSUMES God is real, Assumes Adam and Eve are real, and assumes that Free Will is real.

How exactly is it free will if it goes something like this: YOU are free to live your life however you see fit - but let it be known that "how you see fit" is a one way trip to the Eternal Fire Pits....UNLESS you believe in me.

Thats not Free Will. Thats Conditional Love.

Weasal - is calling a person a true Idiot a Christ like thing to do?? Or, Are you like the majority of Chrisitans here: A HYPOCRITE?!?

Well to do this God would have to create them in the first place and then ask them if they wanted to live or go back to nothing, and seeing that they had no pain or suffering at all and enjoyed Gods personal love and other benefits that we cannot imagine, I guess they were not too concerned about being asked in the first place.

Because then it is a really short and boring story. The goat herders who produced those folktales may have been illiterate, but they knew the difference between a good story and a bad one.

And, if he gave free will, what was the deal with all those miracles? Wouldn't that be considered stacking the deck?

Because they didn't have a mind yet. They weren't even in existance. If they didn't want to exist after they already existed they couldda commited suicide.

If there was no free will, do I have to keep typing?

still typing pointlessly

blah blah blah

I wonder why no one else has these instincts

Now that is a very good question. Surely we should have had the choice whether to be or not to be. Youre making sense girl

The same reason they were forced into a marriage, forced to bare children, and their children's to bare children... so on and so forth, just to be killed in a flood; just to start over with Noah w/ his wife and forced to do it again.

Apparently there was no free will, it was either do it or die.

Live your life how you see fit.
