I need to know how to change 500 names to proper in excel?

Please give me step by step in easy english!!! I dont know how to use excel. I know its something like: add column-=proper( Dont know after that!!!!

Correct syntax id =(PROPER(cell.no))

So if you create this formula on the right of the original cell, it should turn that into a proper name.
After that, just copy this new cell, and paste onto the next 499, the formula for the cell no will auto increment to match the new value.
