Just go to www.dexonline.com and there is a reverse phone look up. I tried it and it works. And it's free.

Depending on what you are looking for you can get a lot of information from this web site without paying for anything.

http://www.peoplefinders.com/Search/People/Phone.htm

You put in the phone number and it gives you not only the name of the person who has the phone but also who might be related to them and their ages!

Good Luck!

Ask your local public librarian - they have city directories with all kinds of information in them.

The last I knew, purchasing one was close to $200 - that was a couple decades ago.

I did once. I think they are a rip-off. I could have gone to the courthouse and gotten the info that they gave me. It was not even up to date. They lure you into thinking that you can find out anything you want. Then you are enticed to go further and spend more $$ for absolutely nothing.

You can type a phone number into Google and it will tell you who it is, where it is, and offer to show you a map.
