Interesting... Not a vicious cycyle unless one entertains reincarnation.Meaning you are not the material machine but the immortal soul.
The way out is to stop wanting to come back and enjoy sense gratification- HOW? By substituting a higher taste -Divine knowledge or Pure Devotion. Established thus one leaves this earthly plane in this very body.So one can exist in a liberated condition still active in this world.

What we learn from our previous births condition us to our present birth which why have attained it (karma or desire). We behave according to this conditioning- nothing but puppets in material nature's hands (complicated puppets but still).Whatever state of consciousness we have at our death is what body and karma we will achieve in our next life.

Now when one by the causeless mercy of the Supreme utilises his free will to enter into some relationship with the divine, then he/she begins his path to freedom. The process is yoga- different varieties there are but foremost is bhakti or devotional service. As Gita says:
BG 6.47: And of all yogīs, the one with great faith who always abides in Me, thinks of Me within himself, and renders transcendental loving service to Me — he is the most intimately united with Me in yoga and is the highest of all. That is My opinion.
God's opinion
It does not matter but whatever authentic spiritual practise is progressive and is not lost with each birth unlike material success etc.. This is why certain people have a natural prediliction to spirituality and seem to experience the divine more than one would expect. Progress is our eternal nature even in perfection happiness in ever increasing. This is the nature of infinity. Until we awaken our eternal relationship with the Divine. This full eternal happiness in complete consciousness will elude us.

Imagine the cycle of life as spiralling up and not as just going around in circles in the same level, maybe you would appreciate the progress.
There are also choices in which you do not take the spiral stairs but the middle path. It looks easy but it really is hard because for every slip down, you will have start again from the beginning.

Yesterday today, and tommorrow. yesterday is gone, with all it's cares and plunders, it will never be again, today is all we have, tommorow is a unknown, but today the birds are singing, we can breathe the fresh air, today we can look outside our windows, we can plan for the future, however we can not make the out come, theres only day we can say that is today, in this hour second within this moment, because yesterday is gone, and tommorrow is not a promise . So let's enjoy this day. GOD bless

It's not a "vicious" circle, it's simply the way things are.

All living things die, eventually. But death in one form leads to rebirth in another - whether you look at it physiologically (death - decomposition - fertilization - new growth), or spiritually.

Nothing "vicious" about it.

Yes, there is a way out. This vicious circle of birth and death is called samsara. All living entities take birth, live and then die. In our daily life we are engaged in various activities for the purpose of sense enjoyment, thus creating karma that binds us to take birth again and again. There is a verse in Bhagavad-gita that answers your question precisely :

"Work done as a sacrifice for Viṣṇu has to be performed, otherwise work causes bondage in this material world. Therefore, O son of ****ī, perform your prescribed duties for His satisfaction, and in that way you will always remain free from bondage."

( Bhagavad-gita As It Is, chapter 3, verse 9 http://vedabase.net/bg/3/9/en )

In the purport Srila Prabhupada explains: "Therefore one has to work for the satisfaction of Viṣṇu. Any other work done in this material world will be a cause of bondage, for both good and evil work have their reactions, and any reaction binds the performer. Therefore, one has to work in Kṛṣṇa consciousness to satisfy Kṛṣṇa (or Viṣṇu); and while performing such activities one is in a liberated stage. This is the great art of doing work, and in the beginning this process requires very expert guidance. One should therefore act very diligently, under the expert guidance of a devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa, or under the direct instruction of Lord Kṛṣṇa Himself (under whom Arjuna had the opportunity to work). Nothing should be performed for sense gratification, but everything should be done for the satisfaction of Kṛṣṇa. This practice will not only save one from the reaction of work, but also gradually elevate one to transcendental loving service of the Lord, which alone can raise one to the kingdom of God."

Theres nothing vicious about it! Its the way God created us to be! So what are you learning about life? What is He showing you that's in your heart that He can only fix? What is your purpose? What can you do to make a difference? What does your LIFE reflect?
