Atheists don't believe in God. That doesn't make them illiterate. I read the bible after Bush began his invasions to see how and why the Christian community could support such actions in light of the quotes I heard from the Bible. Obviously many thousands of innocent people were going to be killed, but that did not seem to bother most Christians. The quotes such as "turn the other cheek" and others about forgiveness just didn't make sense with supporting an invasion of a country and the killing of innocent people.
Never did figure out the hypocrisy. Same with the Christians who are against abortion (right to life), yet support the death penalty. Seems like Christians just want to kill babies after they grow up.

Yes some aethiests are insecure, but not all of them. I'm agnostic myself, many people don't know the difference between agnostic and aethiest.
But of course everyone is insecure about their religion to some degree, too many possibilities. You just need to believe in whatever it is makes you happy, don't worry about other people. These little religious debates don't go anywhere. Pointless if you ask me.
The quotes, in my mind, are used by aethiests who studied the bible, and it still doesn't make sense to them. So they ask about them for Christians to prove what they really mean.
Honestly I don't care what they mean, so i won't ask you what they mean. I've done my own research and the religion in general (any major religion) is not what I choose to believe.

No. Your question was garbage. So is this one. The Bible isn't God, it's a book. You have a lot to figure out. Here's a clue: not everyone thinks in shallow, involuted, circular reasoning like you do.

As I told you before...I do not ask questions about god...I ask questions about a fairy tale book that is suppose to represent some deity...and I ask questions of christians because I am baffled as to how they can believe such garbage...so...if you say atheists do not exist...then why do you keep directing questions to us? Are you THAT thick skulled or what???

Well, I, for one, not believing in deities, don't bother wasting my time asking questions about things I don't believe in.
But, why couldn't anyone ask a question about anything? This board isn't for one religion only. Atheists ask questions about things they don't understand in a religion, rhetorical questions, etc. Why shouldn't they?

Unlike many of our theist counterparts, most atheists I know have read the bible, including myself. It's called informing yourself. That way you can have an intelligent debate with a believer. You can't argue if you don't know the parts of the bible they're throwing at you. Being informed helps us to decide what we do/don't believe. I just wish most "believers" would feel the same way, but they revel in their ignorance. (I said MOST).

When we ask a question, it is to get an answer about why you believe as you do. Why do Xians ask us questions why we do not believe as you do.
Don't you get it, it's a two-way street. It's not that we believe, it's that we are interested in why you do. Well, not really, we don't care what you believe anyway.
Now go do your homework, you don't want to get in trouble tomorrow.

I have to agree with the atheists on this one; your question was stupid...and this one isn't any better.

It's a rhetorical technique that some use to show just how preposterous certain forms of theism are.
