Out of nowhere, I noticed that when I walk, the a part of the ball of my right foot hurts. Kind of a pressure/sore sensation, like I have a lump or something I'm stepping on. I felt the area, but it feels no different from my left foot. I didn't bang it on anything (that I know of)

I don't want to have cancer! I want to keep both my feet, I don't know what to do! I don't know if this calls for a doctor visit, but what are the odds that it's a tumor? I can't sleep at night, this has been going on for a few days, *please* help??

Also, I've noticed a few bruises on my body (and I don't know how I got them), and I came down with a cold (but I'm recovering from that). Is it leukemia?

Tumors usually don't hurt.

I'd say it's a lot more likely you have a muscle injury or plantar fasciitis (an inflammation of the bottom of the foot.) Both are treated easily, and without amputation.

Either way, it hurts, it's bothering you, and that's a good enough reason to see a doctor.

But, I'd be willing to bet *my* right foot it's not cancer.

EDIT: No, I doubt you have Leukemia either. You probably have a lowered platelet count from the cold you had, which causes some bruising. It should clear up in a few weeks.

Chances of this being a tumor, or of your needing amputation are both pretty slim, so relax. However, there are several things that could be causing this and a trip to the podiatrist (or even your family doctor) is probably in order. It will ease your mind, and you could have a plantar's wart that needs treatment, or a problem that requires some special exercises or a special sole inserted into your shoe, etc., etc. Get it checked out to relieve your pain, but don't it's probably not serious.

Malignant tumors can unfold by way of invasion and metastasis at the same time benign tumors can't (and simplest develop in the neighborhood). By definition, the time period "melanoma" applies simplest to malignant tumors. Still, a few tumors with benign histology can behave as malignant tumors, for instance in mind tumors, wherein cure needs to be as competitive as with malignant sickness. Please see the webpages for extra main points on Malignancy, benign and metastasis.

Have a podiatrist check it, but there is such a thing as Morton's neuroma which is basically a group of nerves that cluster together and cause a lot of pain when they get inflamed. If that's what your doctor finds, there are several ways to treat it, but amputating your foot isn't one of them. You can buy things to protect the area and make it less painful (go to footsmart.com) and if it doesn't improve, then think about injections or surgery.

For the foot, go to a podiatrist and get it checked out (could be a bunion or a corn). It could be even a broken bone...or anything...

For bruises, go to your general practitioner and ask to have some blood work done and a physical.

You could have plantar fasciitis. I doubt it is cancer. I would add to try those gel insoles you can buy and insert in your shoes and see if that helps. If not, then you could see a DR but I would give it 5 to 7 days with the soft insoles.

it's probably a planters wart. have your doc check it out to be sure. they can be removed. there is a wart remover on the market that claims to be able to freeze them off but i don't know if it works.
