Watch your calories. Find out what is healthy for you and try to stay within your limits. Calorielab.com is a great site that I go to often to assist me in choosing what I eat and don't eat. You really don't have to give up everything you enjoy, you just have to be more sensible about it. I lost 60 pounds just doing some light exercise and watching calories.

Up your protein intake, but make sure it's a lean protein. You can also cut back on your processed sugars and carbs. Only eat whole grain bread and pasta. Try to get a bit of exercise and you don't have to join a gym or anything like that. Even parking farther away and walking into where you're going. Every little bit helps. It takes about 2 weeks for something to become a habit, so if you can make it the first couple of weeks you have yourself a routine. Good Luck!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Just exercise more and eat less than you are now. Seriously you don't need to go on any crash diet or starve yourself. It's just like getting out of debt - just stop consuming more than you need and you'll lose weight in the long run.

Eating more fruit and vegetables will help fill you up without adding as many calories. (Eat a whole apple instead of an Oreo.)
