I am 5ft. 6in. and weigh 165. I want to lose 20 pounds. I run about 3 miles 3-4 times a week and eat about 1500 calories a day. I also drink about 75-90 oz. of water a day. How long should it take to lose weight. I am not looking for a quick fix just a realistic answer. Thanks!

2-4months if you want to do it healthily.

Some people drop the most amount of pounds in as little as one week and then gradually loose one or a few pounds after that little by little. I knew someone who lost like 10 pounds the first week but then slowed down alot the following weeks. But honestly, I'd be concerned if you lost 10 pounds every single week. It took my friend like 5 months and she doesn't have any problem with keeping it off. Good luck!

1st 20 took me 3 months then to lose the other 46 lbs took me another 3 months= 6 months 68lbs thanks for asking feel great now @ 190lbs

Took me nine months, but then I am almost 50 and have Arthritis.
