Even though the Caste System is actually not part of the Hindu religion, but was a product of Indian culture and society and actually did not come into existence thousands of years after the vedic religion was being practiced, Do you agree that the caste system (especially in relation to how it was abused) was partly responsible for the Islamic invasion of India.
The caste system served to keep the Indian civilisation divided and precluded unity and cohesion as well as Hindu brotherhood and love. That is why Indian lands were a state of warring kingdoms, which the Muslim invaders and trespassers exploited to conquer India. Do you agree that had the caste system not been in place, Islam would have never been able to invade India and to this day the entire population of Pakistan and Bangladesh would have still been Hindu.
Afterall they are only Muslim because it was forced on them by the invading Mughals.

Dear Shaybani,
with all due respect I don't think any Muslim is in a position to sit and give lectures to Hindus about discrimination against our own kind. At least we are not killing each other and blowing each other to bits like your fellow Muslims are doing in places like Iraq and Pakistan and Lebanon. This so called Sunni vs Shia bull[BLEEP]. At least Hinduism, unlike Islam, has never been at war with itself!!!
Please brother, go and take a hard look at your own religion before you start giving us satsangas about peace and tolerance. You Muslims can't even accept each other so how can the civilised world expect you to accept them!!!

Dear "Speaks Truth",
If you have such a horrible opinion about hinduism, what are you doing in a hindu country??? Or a country that is predominantly Hindu??? Why don't you leave our country and go to iraq and hopefully there you can experience what Muslim brotherhood and love is all about.
Secondly, you said that you thank god India was invaded...Well I thank god that Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan were. Hopefully other Islamic would also experience "life under the americans"

Dear Popeech, I suggest that you buy glasses and re-read my question. I didn’t state that the caste system was incepted because the Muslims invaded India, I said that the Muslims invaded India in part due to the existence of the caste system. Had the caste system not been in place, Indian society would have been more unified and better equipped to handle invading armies. The reason that the Hindu and Buddhists armies lost wasn’t due to the superiority of Muslim armies but because the Hindus and Buddhists were fragmented and divided.

Secondly, there is nothing wrong with people embracing Islam if that is what they want to do. At the end of the day, god is in every religion and every religion is in god. The prayers of a Buddhist in Japan, a Hindu in India and a Muslim in Saudi Arabia are at the end of the day going to the same source of energy and light - what we know as god. So my problem isn’t with people converting to Islam, my problem is with people being “FORCED” to convert to Islam. The entire Indian history has been re-written and distorted to such an extent that many Indians are aloof and ignorant as to what exactly their history is. Many have been falsely led to believe that Hindu society was evil and corrupt and when the light of Islam came, many embraced Islam wholeheartedly. That, with all due respect is B.S. Islam is a religion that was spread by the sword.

Do you honestly think that the invading Muslim Turkish armies sat there and conducted tutorials about how beautiful a religion Islam was??? No. They pretty much said either convert or be killed. haven’t you heard of Bin Kassim, or Nader Shah??? Even modern day Iranians (I have many Persian friends) accept that Islam was forced on them. Thus all the people that were in present day Pakistan only converted in order to avoid being beheaded. Ours was a far more beautiful and prosperous and sophisticated culture before Islam came. Many Indians don’t know because virtually everything was destroyed by the Muslims. Later on, after the Mughal dynasty was established, Hindus were taxed beyond proportion (this is a well known fact) in order to persuade them to convert. Later on, it became serious as women started being raped, men were burned alive etc.

Caste system in India is not responsible for the invasion of Muslims. But the caste system has invaded the majority of Indians.
By such an invasion on majority by a few upper caste HINDUS-
a) Majority of the non-brahmins were made SUDHRAS which in their scriptures mean "children of prostitutes".
b) though Hindu temples were built by the money and on the labour of low castes, the Caste Hindus kept them away and outside the sanctum santorium or even outside the temples.
c) If a high caste man cohabitate with a low caste girl ,it was unpunishable. When a low caste man does to a high caste girlhe was punished and outcasted(Anulobam/Abilomam)
d)If a low caste boy learns skill his finger is cut( Case of Ekalaivan ) and even by mistake if a low caste happens to hear Hindu Holy Vedhas, the declared punishment by Hindu religion is to pore hot molten lead in those ears.
e) Till date temple entry to Dalits is forbidden in many temples.Last year in Puri Jaganathar temple, after their entry the temple was closed and poojas performed to purify the entry of untouchable.
There are many many such discriminations and insults on
majority of the low caste Hindus over centuries in the name of religion. It has not stopped till date.
Indian caste system is solely and squarely responsible for the social, econmical, educational backwardness of low castes in India. The invasion by the CASTE HINDUS has not stopped
till date.
When this invasion is going to be stopped ?
Is it by changes in constitution or changes in hearts of high castes or by by revolution in the minds of low caste Hindus,
only time can tell !!!!

Good question and for this I have good answer too.
Indian caste system is not responsible not even partly for the muslim invasion on India and later by British.
Indian Hindu society was based on caste system which was based on the occupation / work. Later this became rigid and based on birth.
Brahmin - Teaching Profession
Kshatriya - Defend Society
Vaishay - Merchant Class
Shudra - Cleaning Society
So where the castes are insulting other castes ? All castes are given their own roles to perfom in the society and I will say if this follows then once again there will be peace and India will rule with golden spoon.
With the passage of time, fox minded persons started twisting their knowledge for their own benefits. For their greedy purposes they twisted the meaning of caste system in India. Started hatred against other castes and divided and rule policy. We know this policy but still falls into trap till today.
Muslims were able to attack on India thanks to the traitors who never fail to come in each centuries at right time. India had many traitors during muslim times and british times. Kings never came united to fight against Muslim rulers and british rulers.
Vedic religion has sense but in the Hindu literature it is said that if a learned person has a cunning mind then he/she will use the knowledge for their benefit. Others with no ideas will follow blindly.
Buddhism and Jainism too has their shares. Almost all the Kings gave up their swords to practise these 2 religions. They forgot their duties as a king.
They could had practised Buddhism and Jainism and also defendend their kingdom.
Rajput kings joining the hands with the muslim rulers at the right time. Stabbing the back of their kings. Rana Pratap story is famous.
Today we have traitors in BCCI too. Dravid,Kiran More,Sharad Pawar and Narendra Shah joined the hands of Chappell against Ganguly.
So Traitors always turn up when needed here.

The Indian caste system was not responsible, partly or wholly, for the Muslim invasion of India. But this system went a long way in contributing to the failure of Indian Resistance. By the way, there was never a Muslim Invasion of India as such. The historically correct position is that there were attacks on Indian kingdoms from people who happened to practise Islam as their belief system but their motives of attack were more often monetary gain and territorial foothold only as a possibility. You are correct to suggest that the present day Indian sub-continent would have been different but for invasion from people who were followers of an alien and aggressive religion, and who found Indian kingdoms vulnerable because of the caste system.

Well to begin with hinduism is not about how others should live. Its about "you" should live.If i am not wrong, i haven't heard any of my teachers (who gave me information on my religion) asked me to follow it because they said it.They allowed me to explore and define by my own self what i learnt and believe.I do this even to this date. If i am not wrong then religion was invented for those who do not have such an intellectual capability. This was how the world was being maintained in peace and kept in balance. The meaning of Karma and Dharma begins from there.Yeah , we had divided people into castes but not because they were untouchables or they hated them. It was sheer necessity. For cleanliness. If the guy who cleans your toilets is to be touched then wont you go and wash your-self to reduce/save the margin of error for some bacteria that might get transmitted? Alas this was never mentioned in any of the scriptures because those who preached it were intelligent enough of the procedures that were followed. I know the exact opposite that is being debated/raised today.
there is no such thing as a bad job. Only people who do it badly. Someone has to do it.And it will be done. There is no race/ caste system that defines it. Its the skill. Can anyone make a Vada Pav better than the Marathi manoos ? Or the Pani Puri better than those from North ?
Exactly the same way. People had clans and tribes defined by what their skills were. There was no other division. And each Tribe ,clan or caste did what they were good at. It as only induced hatred that could break the system. It was only the divide and rule policy that could split them and that is what is done in India during the British rule.India never did attack anyone , infact it was resilant to many of those who invaded it , looted it and then asked for more. Its our nature. We know it better. But if this is taken as an act of weakness , then its wrong.

This question in truth requires an eloberate answer for which this is not the appropriate forum. The Indian caste system was based on a completely different basis and for different reasons altogather. It is customary in modern days to blame Hindu beliefs for all kinds of wrongs perpetuated by others, who were alien to it. Even the President of India, Sri Abdul Kalam, in one of his recent speaches to the children of India said that India never invaded any country in the past one thousand years or more. This clearly reveals the Hindu India's peaceful intensions in the past. Countries who were ruled by agressive monarchs in the past have always had permissions from their religious heads to invade and plunder India. Perhaps the only major blame which one could think of on the part of India is its absolute lack of resistance at such times. All the Rajas who were ruling the smaller states of India then were always adviced by their Hindu Gurus to follow the path of Sanathan Dharma. This made the rulers all the more peaceful in their statecraft. This kind of absence of resistance in the face of the invading army, in my opinion, was mainly due to the misconceptions of Hindu idea of Non-violence. In this respect there is no use in blaming the Mogul armies alone, although they did most of the plunder and destruction. History will surely reveal that much before the Moguls, the Greeks, the Portugeese, the French and the British invaded India under some guise or other and subjected the nation under their rule. Many a time they fought amidst themselves in sharing the plunder.Besides their armies had powerful guns and tanks in their possession, which were never heard of by the Indians. Here one should understand that an army improves its weaponery to such high level, only if it has intensions of conquring another nation. Therefore it is open knowledge that neither Hinduism nor its caste systems are the real reasons for any of the invading army's agressive intensions.

Any theory can be told or reviewed now. No one knows what was the situation at that time. History is always biased. We are sure for now, that India is converting to Muslims due to politicans and nothing to do with caste system. Caste system is made to be kept alive in Hindu religion only for the beneifts of politicans. Caste also exists in Christianity and Islam in India - Just that they get ignored or not glorified.

Yes. A divisive society is a weaker one and cannot face the invaders. The weakness creeps down to the roots of the society, the people and the system. But the overall cultural structure and strength is intact. But in times of crisis the powerful persons were able to cohesively muster the caste system into a single mighty unit to take up the invaders may be for a while temporarily.

I cannot help but congratulate you for accepting the truth that caste system was and is prevalent in Hindu Society, which you so vehemently refused to accept in one of you earlier question/answer. I said it still exists otherwise incidences of Khairlanji massacre, in Maharashtra, would not have taken place.
I have always had the view that you are a mis-guided, mischievous and probably mis-informed young man whose life blood is hate and nothing but hate for other communities specially Muslims.
For you information Islam spread from Arabia to Europe, Africa and Asia right upto the far East. The ugly caste system which differentiated between humans on the basis of birth in a particular lineage existed only in India.
And by the way one logic I have never understood that if we accept your argument of Muslim conversion by force by the Mughals, pray, then why did they convert a small number of people compared to the people who were left in darkness. Remember Muslims ruled for more than seven hundred years. If you have the answer, please do enlighten me. (You have my e-mail contact). But it would be better if you answered in this open forum.
Another thing that you failed to mention is that idol worship was also started thousand of years after the vedic religion was practised because vedas do not preach idol worship.
I am sure you are one of those people who make comments on issues of which they have absolutely no knowledge, be it factually or religiously. As always my suggestion to you is to come out of this darkness towards the real truth. May Allah guide you. Ameen.

Every religion outside Hindu will always use to their advantage the caste system in India which is not really religious in nature but more of their culture.
All religions who are expanding their members finds people already belonging to other religions; So, the tendency is to look for flaws and error that other religions have and will work on which they think they are good at..

Well that may be one of the reasons. But I feel this question has a vast answer and the whole corruption of hindu society and division among them were mainly responsible for attacks
Before Buddhism started, no one attacked India... it is only after buddhism flourished and then vanished from India ...India became weaker... just a thought
