don't worry about it, it's probably not a good thing if you both feel like saying it at the same time the first time one of you says it. just give him time.

Love is a bloody scary thing. You lose all of your control. Its the best feeling but its the worst feeling. I don't blame you for being afraid- its especially difficult to trust someone when you've been hurt in the past. But its unfair to hold this against him- you need to talk to him, and you need to be honest. Tell him you're scared to be hurt again. He should understand- he sounds lovely and you need to take advantage of having someone like that in your life, believe me. Theres no need to break up though, just take things very slowly and always be honest with each other. Bottom line is...he loves you! And that must mean you're an incredible person. So enjoy that and don't worry if you don't feel the same way as he does now. It will come in time, and if it doesnt... at least you'll not regret ruining a chance of happiness. xxx

maybe hes afraid of commitment...now this doesnt exactly mean he does not love you... maybe hes just waiting for the rite time to tell you...my bf refused to tell me "I love you" untill he was absolutely sure he meant it... he used to say
TE QUIERO...which is spanish and traslated to english is I love you but you sort of say it to friends...or even family... but I love you in the serious relationship type of way is
TE AMO... well he just wanted something really serious and wanted to be sure before he said something like that. After a few weeks he just got all romantic and look at me in the eyes and said Te Amo! i really do. and it was way cuter than him just saying it.
now some ppl will tell you that he does not love you or he just doesnt want something serious with you..which is a possibility...
but you gotta look at the facts...
how long have you been together???
how where his past relationships??
has he been hurt before???
how old are you guys???
and did you really mean it?
talk to him about how he feels...tell him you want to know his true feeling towards you...
I love you is more than just a word....
good luck..and God bless...

You don't give your ages, you don't say how long you both have been dating, and you don't say how soon after you began dating that you said that to him. If you said that three days after you met, then it's no wonder he pulled back! If you give more information, you can receive better answers.

do be so free with that word, its a very dangerous and sometimes over used word. he may not feel the same, or maybe hes not ready to say it. do not pressure it out of him unless you are trying to scare him away. he will say it back when he is good and ready. only say it to him if you really mean it though.
