It sounds like it is too late for a police report so:
a) Take photos.. LOTS of photos.. see if you can identify WHICH truck hit you and take photos of That too.
b) Make a preliminary claim to your insurance company. Simply call and tell them that you were hit on a date in the parking lot and that you may or may not file a claim shortly. This gets you on the record with them and will save you a hassle later on about 'why are you just telling us now?'
c) Tell your boss that you need to get the auto fixed and that you will have to turn it in to your insurance company. Because of that you need to get the company insurance information. If he stalls on that go to the human resources department. Remember you are dealing with the COMPANY, not the boss.
d) You may want to give him a written request for information regarding who was driving what vehicle that day. He can always refuse, but when the matter moves forward that will make him look uncooperative. Worst case he will give you a letter that says he does not know. If that is the expected case you may remind him in your first letter about the DV recorder. Tell him that it will become evidence should the matter go to trial (item g) and ask that they preserve a copy of the tape. Send a copy of the same letter to your human resources department. If your company has cameras in the parking lot or other areas you may want to ask for those too.
e) Write down a statement of what happened that day. Document what you saw and found, and who you talked to. Make the statement clear and do not make any assumptions or comments that you can not assert with 100% clarity. For example 'This car hit me because he has a dent' is not valid. Lots of cars have dents and paint smears. You are giving a statement NOT solving a crime.
f) No response or information from the Company? Call up your insurance and make the claim. Email them the photos, and your statement as well as any copies of correspondence and communication that you have received. If you have coverage they will take care of you less your deductible. If not, then you may be on your own.
g) On your own? Want that deductible? You are now going to have to go to court to get it. Wapnerize them. (Small Claims). File the case and get a subponea from the clerk for the DVR records. Have them both served on the company. Now they will have to supply you with a copy of the record. What, they didn't keep it after you sent them that letter? The judge will not be too pleased about that.
ok.. the rest is a mixture of facts and presentation.
Job security: They won't fire you for this.. retaliation is also actionable. For 6 monts to a year you will be virtually untouchable as long as you do your job properly.

First thing I would do is look at the trucks and find out what one has your paint on it. Get pictures if you can. Present that to your boss and if he/she still refuses to solve the problem call the authorities. If they investigate it, they will have the books opened. If they choose not to (for many reasons) then you can always get your insurance company involved. They will have an investigator look into it. DO NOT let your company off the hook for this. You may have to pay for the repairs up front, but continue to fight the good fight.

Definately, it not only is an accident that should have been reported, it also is an accident that Labor & Industries should have been notified of. Are there security cameras in the area? Someone knows who was driving, it shouldn't be a big secret, should it? If it is, why? I would push it all the way, until the repairs were made. It's bullshit that you are treated by your employer, in this way. Contact L&I, today!

Depends. Do you want to keep your job? If you do, I wouldn't make an issue of it; I'd simply report it to my own insurance carrier (you do have colission and comprehensive, I hope?). If you don't want to keep the job, call the police and report that one of the company trucks hit yours and the boss won't investigate the incident. They MAY be able to force him to try to find the guilty party, even though the accident ocurred on a private parking lot. Good luck.

First, get pictures of both vehicles and where yours was parked. Then talk to your insurance agent and see if he can help you. If this happened days ago, chances are someone at work has already erased the dvr.

i think there is responsaility there. your ins agent should be able to get that info. think, how would matlock handle this? easy the vehicle owner is liable as the driver was acting on his behalf as a employee.
