It's free advertisement. If they just let the car sit in their driveway for months, not as many people will see it as if they park it in public places etc. Also, they may need the money to buy a new car.

I think they believe that more people will see the sign in the window if they drive it around. And at least people will know it runs. LOL

I am not really sure though as I have never sold a car on my own.

It is probably the only car they have...they might be wanting to buy a new car but need to wait until they have sold theirs first. Also it is a good way for people to see it is for sale--although I havent hear of very many people selling their car this way...

Why not? It is their car. They can do whatever they want with it. Just because it is for sale, why not drive it and use it until it is sold. All it is costing them is gas. I doubt if they will put any more money into for maintenance, so it is cheap transportation for them.

They may also only have one car, and have no choice in the matter. good luck

because they need transportation while they are waiting. they need the money from selling the car to buy a new car.

I guess they dont know that it depreciates the value of the car! It is sort of crazy to do it!

they need money because they are broke but need transportation to make money. its their only vehicle, the list goes on.
