Why it can not be straight like yes I believe in a supernatural being which is God. Why one should go through a religion to accept the God. Why Priests, Mullahs and Pundits should come free with God.

No, absolutely not. This one of my favourite hobby-horses, if you hadn't already noticed.

Most of the world's religion's founders were pretty much ok, in my book, however, in almost every case, as soon as the originator of the relevant belief system drops his monkey suit, his followers cannot wait to get everything thoroughly around their necks ........and, in a far too literal sense, around ours as well.

So, everybody, feel free to join whichever of the organised creeds that you wish, but by reciprocation, please allow those of us that do not feel such a need to do our own 'thing' as they say.

I say am resounding yes to the question, although for my part you can keep the priests, mullahs, pundits, bandits, bishops, deacons, canons, cannons and all other manner of religious ordnance !

Guru's are ok, if taken with a fairly hefty pinch of salt, if they get too full of themselves.

Well good Q.
We each have an individual relationship with the divine source. But as is apparent we can't percieve it. We can genuinely try to connect but He/She remains hidden from us. This is because we are in ignorance - even if we were to educate ourselves with every religious literature we still wont perceive the impercievable. Only one who has received the mercy of the one who does have a direct connection (Guru) can we connect ourself directly by the mercy of the Supreme (rarer). So religion is not the point. We need guidance like we need college professors for studies- we need spiritual guides to help recieve the divine which is far more difficult that any university degree.
Whatever religion it is, the principle is the same. God is in and beyond the duristiction of religion. Religion has received the connotation of being fanatical unfortunately due to the many fanatical groups out there. The sober person can analyse what is truth and not. Only one God. In the end it is about happiness. People accept atheism because it makes them happier, thats alright. But the ultimate happiness comes when we get an injection of devotion by the spiritual master, devotee or the Lord Himself.

It is not necessary but it is helpful.

How can you have time to really study all of the ancient documents, or even read and understand the Bible without some direction?

The Church is here to help get us to heaven, that is it's ONLY job. Why trust your own hope and feelings when the Church gives you so many tools and graces and information to help?

Why go it alone?

That is why I became Catholic.

That does not mean that I don't have a personal relationship with God, it just means that I understand what God wants me to do and can appreciate the tools God gave me to stay in his grace.

Peace and God Bless!

I'm having some difficulty finding this, but I've always thought the definition of religion to be a search of God, the personality of God, the hierarchy of heavenly hosts.

I don't think it is necessary to accept a religion to accept God. In fact, I know it's not. Religion is man made, not God made.

You do not need religion to believe in God or a supernatural being. It is all in your heart.

It would depend on your own personal belief. In my opinion, however, I believe that you would need to. Every religion consists of a message and moral laws as well as ways of life. To accept God is to accept what He has given to you (meaning his message(s)), I believe.

It is not necessary, you can believe in a supernatural being(just out of curiosity, why do you have to?) but no religion is not necessary for you to believe in 'god'.

There are ways to worship God besides going to religious services, so you don't HAVE to have a religion, but it is important for most believers to have a faith community of fellow believers. That is the reason why religion exists- to provide this community of believers.

God is greater than any book man may write about God.
God is bigger than any religion man may organize to try and help people worship God.

Keep that in mind.

All you need is God.
