There is a prescription, but I forgot what it is called. Your family doctor would know. You can also buy Nix, but I don't think it is any better than Rid. A lot of lice are becoming immune to Nix and Rid. Get a good quality lice comb; it probably costs over $10. I don't even bother with Nix or Rid anymore. I use a good lice comb and I soak my head with rubbing alcohol. I am very careful not to get it in my eyes. I shampoo my hair after that. Of course, I wash all the bedding. It works and it will not cost over $100 to treat the family.
