if you read a chapter a day, every day for 1 year, it will teach you spiritual discernment. Yes I certainly do, as well.

Proverbs was the first part of the Old Testament that I gained a love for. I used to ponder on them a lot when I was a teenager. Hmmmm.... "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." (Prov. 4: 7)

it truly is no longer that easy. if the early poultry would not capture the trojan horse, possibly it did no longer arise early sufficient. early at some point may be break of day, while day after on the instant it would desire to be a million am. the trojan horse may be a small floor trojan horse that's no longer even well worth eating at some point, whilst day after on the instant it would desire to be a foot long, fat night crawler. my element is this; the Bible itself says that, and that i quote, 'one guy esteemeth at some point above yet another: yet another esteemeth daily alike. permit each and every guy be completely persuaded in his very own techniques.' (Rom. 14:5) God isn't some great interior the sky looking down at you with a club waiting so you might break some rule so he can harm you; on the different, He knows of that issues are not continuously black and white. specific, many stuff are certainly defined--rape is undesirable, homicide is undesirable, charity is sturdy, love is sturdy--although, the Bible itself says that some issues are left to the area of human judgement. so in precis, definite, the early poultry continuously does capture the trojan horse. that would not propose the poultry would not might desire to artwork for it truly is capture, or that that's often going to arise on the earliest time to capture the trojan horse, or that the trojan horse is often going to be what the poultry needs. information purely starts once you already know which you honestly understand no longer something.

My favorite Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
Psalms are great too!
I especially like Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
And Psalms 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
I agree... that many(but, not all) "fundies" don't really think the OT is important, they pick and choose what they want to believe. To those who don't think the OT is important! read 2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine...
Have a good day! :)

I absolutly love them. It is short and very wise verses. Proverbs 16:2 All man's ways seem innocent to him, But God judges the heart.

But, Proverbs is in the old testament...so I thought we were to disregard that part of the Bible...that's what fundies say when we point out the Levitical codes, etc...
