Some people have gone too far to the point of no return. It's not so much being robbed as having been sold a wrong bill of goods. Nature hates a vacuum, so in the absence of spirituality, materialism, sensuality and practicality has rushed in to fill the void. Some people have been consumed entirely, but there is always a good remnant that carries the human race forward. It's an individual thing, as it always has been. The crowd goes one way, but truly enlightened people know enough not to follow the lemmings over the cliff.

If u stand in the dark and open a door where the light is what happens? This is what u have done. U don't even know how close u r to revealing a truth that has yet to be revealed. all of GOD'S WORD is spiritually understood, and if a person does not have the HOLY SPIRIT as a guide they cannot understand it. this world is pushing this even fromt the pulpit, when preachers make themselves out to be all knowing and have to teach THE WORD. because the commonpeople can't understand it's secrets. let me tell u, the pharisees wer that and more, and the disciples were common people. so read THE WORD and scrutinize everything by it.

I am finding that the closer I get to the Lord, the more I love my wife and children. And more than that... ALL men. Yes that includes women also.
It is a concept that many claim to have yet by their actions prove just the opposite. I am not trying to slam any group of people. It is just an observation from a man who is learning and growing in Christ. I've been a Christian for almost 9 years and am still discovering simple truths that can only come from the type of connection you speak of.
I feel that if we are being robbed of His love and mercy and grace, it is because of our own doing. We have taken him out of school, government buildings and are now even trying to not let Him into churches by going against His word. That is another topic for later discussion though. We are solely responsible for the condition and state we, as a nation, are currently living in.
Just to clarify, "we" is used as a reference to us as a nation, not just pertaining to Christians.
It is possible to have that deeper connection with God. All you need to do is ask Him. Keep the faith and continue to press on to the victory that is in Christ Jesus.

Yes, it seems like relationships have gotten away from spiritual values to a degree because in addition to the sexual revolution, women are less dependent on men - men and women are expecting "more" from marriage - I think it will swing back to the way it should be and people will make better marriages or not get married at all.

How right you are. Marriage today is welded onto the idea of sexual. Partnership thru thick and thin is confessed but mostly forgotten. Having a partner that can argue with you, give an opposing view, be upset...yet still love you in the morning is rare. When will sex be put back in it's place of a special moment and conception....instead of the friday night wrestling match?

In the fifties, I saw a lot of married people as one spiritually. It is a beautiful relationship in Christ. It maybe gone, because it is very difficult to come out of this world. Too much sex damages the senses.

The Revelation which our instructors and leaders have experienced is that there is not a single direction which suits all of us. finding one's self ought to by potential of definition be somebody, unique journey. Religions do not supply a direction-map which ought to be slavishly accompanied; religions modern us with concepts which will handbook us in our own journey. In our afflicted circumstances, this seek for the Divine interior is a few distance extra acceptable than the politicians or media could have us have confidence. it is shown by potential of the fact that attendances at church homes, mosques, and temples has extra suitable presently. As long as Fear holds power over us, we are unable to experience a spiritual connection.
Only the Love that we were born with, the Love that is our birthright, the Love that dwells within, can connect us in all we feel and all we do.
It takes courage to overcome Fear and restore Love to its proper place.
And as is so often the case, only another can inspire us to find that courage.
Love calls out to Love. Ignore it and know Fear, or embrace it and rejoice.

In a Christian marriage where both are born again; they learn about true intimacy that goes beyond the flesh and affects the soul/spirit. And this is everlasting rewards.
Pastor preached something like that about a month ago.
Love is everlasting, and when one loves their spouse the way God meant it to be, it is everlasting.
Too many Christian married couples rob themselves of this because they don't give their love life to God too. God tells us to give our everything to God.

Only a few people look for a deep spiritual relationship. Technology is too consuming and brainwashing.
I believe in spirituality and that its not all about money, sex etc.. but most people say that too. They just dont believe it anymore. Not in this time.
