You can "rough house" with a dog, go hunting, jogging, etc. Training a dog is easier to do fun tricks. They love it when you come home.
Cats are more, plop on your lap, or ignore you.

Men like dogs,because men don't really care for pets that they can't get along with. Why do you think they say a dog is a man's best friend. They can go running together, play catch. All sorts of things that men like in a dog.

Men like dogs because Men like to control things and dogs appeal to that if a dog is trained right he will do whatever the man tells him to do no matter what it is even if the dog faces physical harm. It is why some men absolutely love their dogs and will favor their dogs over children and women because they know that dog will do anything for them.

because they are so much alike..seriously most dogs are free spirits and love to run and play and are always willing to do things and if a man is bored he can have that dog as a friend to play with!! and a dog can help to look after the wife and kids while the man is out is another reason men like dogs so much!!

men like dogs because dogs are big and more masculine than cats. I like dogs and cats, I have three of each all females and they don't like men at all. Even my male Senegal parrot doesn't like men. I guess men want an animal they can wrestle with and do other guy stuff with like hunting etc. most guys probably have male dogs cause they prefer them to female dogs. i don't know why i guess it's a guy thing.

Dogs are man's best friend. Probably because they don't give them any lip when they come thru the door. They don't talk back. The dogs are always glad to see their owners.

I bet if you went to most any dog show like conformation, agility, obedeince you would see most of the handlers are women! Maybe the dog is not just mans best friend.
