I doubt you can get "politically correct" and "funny" into the same piece of literature, but maybe with Dr. Seuss you might. Of course, someday all the Whos in Whoville will probably burn him in effigy, too.
Anyway, Seuss wrote a piece later in his life that does make a good work for even adults or almost-adults that are marking a milestone, like marriage or graduation. Look for a copy of "Oh, The Places You'll Go!"

Here you go. This is original from me.
There was a young fellow, quite harried
Who decided that he would get married
He sought out a bride
Who would stay by his side
In sickness and health
In spite of his wealth
After work he is hazy
And on Saturdays he's lazy
She must be blind, deaf and dumb and half crazy
Good luck

Successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
They have come up with a perfect understanding. He won't try to run her life, and he won't try to run his, either.
To keep your marriage brimming, with love in the wedding cup, whenever you're wrong, admit it; whenever you're right, shut up.

Take the groom's hand and place it over the bride's hand, and announce that this will be the last time he ever has the upper hand in this relationship.

You must be kidding. I don't even believe in political correctness.
