Instead, why don't they focus on other things like:

Santa Claus
The Tooth Fairy
The Easter Bunny
Bigfoot
Centaurs
Ligers

Is it me, or do they have an agenda?

They fear the very God that they say they don't believe in.
Just tell on he is going to hell and see how he reacts while still professing that he doesn't believe in hell.

Real science proves the need for a creator but they can't see this because they believed their third grade teacher who said that evolution could explain it all.

Well now most people don't actually believe in those other fairy-tale creatures you've listed. (some might still think there's a bigfoot).

Religion has affected and does affect ALL of us greatly. It is constantly in our face and on the news. Our soldiers are being killed daily in Iraq and other places largely due to different religious sects. Countless people have been murdered, raped, tortured, etc in the name of various religions. And all of this is over various made up religions and gods.

So that's why. Gods and religions are everyone's business - like or not, unfortunately.

Which god? There are 2,000 deities created by humans over the centuries.

Personally, it's the fundamentalists in the U.S. who are attempting to stick their faith in government, so I make special allowances to critique them. Otherwise I don't care.

But here it is, if it makes you happy: BIGFOOT doesn't exist. And the Easter Bunny is not real either, kiddies! So now you don't have to feel guilty when you eat the chocolate ears.

Happy?

It's their agenda.... they do not see how unbelief and trying to persuade others to (dis)believe like them as being evil or harmful. They believe that is true about believers. I think they are just trying to convince themselves and justify their beliefs against the guilt they feel for knowing of the possibility that there is a living God. The evidence for a creator is within and all around them.

If people were trying to base laws on the will of Santa Claus, I expect the atheists would take issue with that too.

Why are Christians so focused on atheists? Is it me, or do they have an agenda?

It doesn't say "In bigfoot we trust" on our money. It doesn't say "Under Centaurs" in our pledge. Who has the agenda? Atheists or christians who are constantly violating the separation of church and state. We're here to keep an eye on you.

Belief in God affects lawmaking in this country. Belief in Santa Claus does not.

Ligers? Why would anyone on a religious forum focus on hybrid cats?

We aren't necessarily fixated on god. But it is an interesting topic and this is a fun place to come and debate.

It's theists that focus on God. We happen to be here, just having a chuckle or two on the theists' moronic remarks.....
