5 kittens is a lot for one cat to handle. It seems to me like you might need to buy a bottle and some milk and help her out by feeding a few of the kittens yourself. If you fed them each once a day then I think it would really help her out. Another thing you could try would be to feed to mother cat wet kitten food or canned food. She needs lots and lots of protein and kitten food would help with that. Good luck!

if she not eating she needs seen by the vet .
also the kittens sound like they may need some supplementation if you want them all to live you can buy nutritionally complete kitten formula at walmart for just a few bucks a can to feed them little ones and something else that probably needs done is have you recently wormed the momma cat ?
they need wormed every couple months because cats pick up worm pretty easily and this combined with the kittens nursing will really run the cat down.

I would take her to the vet, because it sounds like the kittens are (pulling her down) also her milk may be drying up. Either way I would take her and the kittens to the vet and get them looked at.

It's time for you cat to see the vet. She could be suffering from parasites (worms or coccidia) which could result in lack of weight gain and anemia (paleness of the gums). Both of these are communicable to her kittens. It is imperative that your cat see the vet so that a proper diagnosis can be made and she can be treated accordingly.

Pack them up for a trip to the vet's office or at least call the vet. This is not the place to be looking for medical advice that could mean the life of your kittens and cat. Your veterinarian will be happy to offer advice or have you come in. I wish you well.

What do you mean 'nutritional cat food'? Cats should be fed kitten food throughout pregnancy and lactation, and lots of it, otherwise it is usual for them to become skinny and have trouble nursing.

It isn't normal for the queen not to want to eat at all, she should be ravenous. Please take her and all her kittens to the vet.

my cat had kittens 9 weeks ago now.. she was really really skinny and i was worried too, i fed her as much as she would eat and gave her whiskers milk.. her kittens have gone to new homes now and only 1 is left as we are keeping that one.. she has started to put weight on gradually. if this doesnt help give you vet a ring.

Both momma & kittens should be checked out by a vet. Worms are a bit concern, and kittens can fall ill very easily.

she should see a vet. are you feeing her kitten food as well? you could try tempting her with wet food or some boiled boneless chicken. the kittens are almost old enough to eat kitten food also.

This is a question for your vet. She may have had problems during delivery. Definitely doesn't sound good. Everybody should be fattening up by now. Get her in asap.
