They have nothing to gain, in fact the opposite would be true. Could you imagine what would happen if a scientist was able to PROVE the theory of evolution to be false? He would become an instant millionaire, as well as probably win the Nobel Prize in science. There are no scientists getting rich off of studying evolution.

Great question! It's like Christian's watched a bunch of 50's scifi movies and believe all scientists are evil. All while enjoying the benefits of modern medicine and biological discoveries. They have to realize evolution is true every time they get a flu shot!

In general, science seeks to promote and expand knowledge. No "hidden agendas" (I'm not talking about researchers working for drug companies, but science for science's sake) behind most people's research and theories.
I still don't understand what's so threatening about Evolution: "God" could've easily "got the ball rolling" (i.e. created the Universe), and then let Existence progress (i.e. allow formation of elements, molecules; eventually cells; then groups of cells joined to form a multicellular organism; and so on)...no conflict b/t God and Evolution, unless you take for LITERAL truth every sentence in the Bible...and there's many dangers involved in doing that, besides just discounting Evolution, even!!
Peace,
Rosemary
ETA: teetiger, one of the most incredible things about human beings is that we DO have reflexive consciousness, which basically amounts to a nature capable of Spirituality!! Just b/c we, like all other lifeforms, evolved from more simple and "primitive" forms does NOT imply that we are soulless.

There are many reasons: To prove that there is no God, to gain respect, to gain fame, money, power.
Many of them don´t gain anything they just really believe that evolution is a fact, but in the way they are convincing you of something, that is not really a fact, right?
You take evolution as a fact.
Take care.

can i ask you: whether some secure-state sort of the universe have been examined to be extra precise than the large Bang (and hence atoms have continuously existed, and have been by no potential created), how, precisely, could that impression the assumption of evolution? And your specialisation in anatomy & physique shape is displaying, in which you do no longer understand the large Bang concept. It grew to become into observed as the "primeval atom" for historic motives: it grew to become into surely a singularity (a element of 0 quantity and limitless density) "interior of" which all rely and potential of our universe already existed (albeit no longer in that kind). in actuality, above a undeniable point of warmth and density, atoms *can not* exist. additionally - Dalton's regulation grew to become into in basic terms held to be "authentic" earlier we knew approximately radioactivity and volatile atoms. Atoms might nicely be and are created and destroyed by nuclear reactions: the two fission and fusion. And your objection on the subject of the 2d regulation of thermodynamics could additionally preclude organisms from becoming (because it somewhat is a upward thrust in potential). Neither organisms, nor the earth as an entire, are remoted structures, so the regulation does *no longer* shop on with.

Evolution is the foundational doctrine for the belief of secular humanism. This is necessary to eliminate any real basis for right or wrong actions. Therefore, the business of corruption could then thrive.

It must be the Devil's doing. He wants to lead us all to the fiery pit and will use hundreds of thousands of respectable scientists to do it, if necessary. This is his greatest deceit since getting people to believe the Bible was actually written by God.
Mwahahahahahaha!!!

How do they make you believe in Evolution? I've not heard of one scientist forcing anyone to learn.

Easy - trying to get us to not trust God by putting the thought of doubt in our minds. We should call it the religion of evolution.
