there are 10 birds left! you said that one got shot...but you didn't say the one that got shot was on the pole too. must have been some other poor bird! but the ones on the pole are still there of course

1. None, the birds flew away when they heard the gun shot OR 2. 10, the bird that was shot wasn't on the pole.

Actually I was out of town that day. I work for the
power Co. and I wish people would stop shooting birds off our poles.
