2Corinthians 4:1-6 says: That is why, since we have this ministry according to the mercy that was shown us, we do not give up; but we have renounced the underhanded things of which to be ashamed, not walking with cunning, neither adulterating the word of God, but by making the truth manifest recommending ourselves to every human conscience in the sight of God. If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. For we are preaching, not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as YOUR slaves for Jesus’ sake. For God is he who said: “Let the light shine out of darkness,” and he has shone on our hearts to illuminate [them] with the glorious knowledge of God by the face of Christ.
The answer to your question is actually contained within the span of verses you cited. "We are preaching.... Christ Jesus as Lord and ourselves as Your slaves." It then points out that God illuminates hearts with knowledge.
In addition to Satan’s efforts to conceal the good news, many people veil their own faces because they do not want to see.
The figurative eyes of many are blinded by ignorance. The Bible speaks of the nations as being “in darkness mentally, and alienated from the life that belongs to God, because of the ignorance that is in them.” (Ephesians 4:18)
Like Paul, many who once opposed God’s truth are now serving Him. This is a good reason for continuing to bear witness even to those who oppose us. Meanwhile, by regularly studying God’s Word and getting the sense of it, we are protected from acting in ignorance in a way that brings Jehovah’s displeasure.
For many, spiritual vision is obstructed because they are unteachable and rigid in their views. Many Jews rejected Jesus and his teachings because they doggedly clung to the Mosaic Law. There were, of course, exceptions. For example, after Jesus was resurrected, “a great crowd of priests began to be obedient to the faith.” (Acts 6:7) Nevertheless, concerning the majority of the Jews, Paul wrote: “Down till today whenever Moses is read, a veil lies upon their hearts.” (2 Corinthians 3:15)
Veils lie over peoples faces for various reasons. For some, it is their choice to remain blind to Bible truth. Whatever the reason, we continue obedient to Christ command to preach and teach, (Matthew 28:19,20) It is God who must draw the individual to him and it is he who illuminates their hearts. We are simply priviledged to be used by him for this purpose.

This has been successfully done down through the ages. But you will not ever see this happen for
EVERY
person. Some will
CHOOSE
to go to hell while others will
CHOOSE
to heaven. This happened with Jews in Paul's day as it is happening with Jews today. People do not see that the veil is not a physical but a spiritual one.
Remember this:
No person can serve God with the nature that they are born with. It takes a radically spiritual execution of that nature called, the old nature or the old man, by God's Holy Spirit, and an immediate infusion of the Holy Spirit of God, to enable then to serve God.
Every person, Jew, including Jewish Proselyte, and Gentile (all races not Jewish) receives this old nature at birth. And again, unless they are redeemed, born again, saved, etc. when they reach the age of accountability, they become Hell bound; No ifs, ands, or buts. They are then hell bound.
If nothing else, pray, pray, pray for, as many souls as you can to get saved. At least the ones who get saved will have had the veil over their eyes taken away, and they will begin living as God wants them to live.

Right now it is pretty abundant that it will take the end for that to happen. But some might just be slapped out of their fog if we continue preaching so keep at it.

To "snatch the veil" away from a Muslimah's face is a great insult to them. They wear the veil by choice as a show of modesty and fealty towards God.
