If you don't know the couple well and you are in fact a celebrity then it's highly possible they are just hoping for a great gift or to get you on video at their wedding. Be careful because the videographer may actually be instructed to capture you on video as much as possible and in this day and age, many people may have their cell phone cams at the ready. If you want to go, make an appearance and leave if you feel uncomfortable, I wouldn't arrive with your best friend's mom lest you be trapped there without a ride home :-) Always have an out. If you go and become the main attraction, the couple will see too late the err of their thinking... but if you are in fact a good anough friend, then you should absolutely go despite the perils. Nothing should stand in the way of you going to a true friend's wedding. :-)

well I dont know what your celeb status is, and there is the possibility she only invited you for that purpose, but it is doubtful. This is her day and the focus is going to be on her. She is going to be dancing with many different people and mingling with guests and wouldnt have much time to socialize with you. Then again I'm sure if you are a well-known celeb, the guests will want to socialize with you. I suggest you go, relax and have a good time because even if you are a celeb I think most people will socialize with you as if you were not. I hope you have a good time.

Take if this is a joke??? If you were any sory of celeb you wouldn't be posting this here. Please give us on Yahoo Questions & Answers some credit. We really do try to assist people and you seem a time waster!!! Apologise if you aren't but most celebs wouldn't say such a thing. Unless you are just a teeny, weeny celeb and a teen , weeny bit full of yourself???

Maybe she invited you because you were going anyway and she didn't want to go alone. Plus since you're her daughter's best friend, the two of you may have something in common so she wouldn't get stuck having dull conversations.

More than likely, most celebs are lucky if they have genuine friends, I would imagine they just get used all the time so people can say "Ooooo I'm friends with....."
