Depends on if they're into that. Personally, I am very dubious about somebody who wants to totally shave it off, because only pre-pubescent girls have no hair down there. Trimming is all good. I am all for having my man give me a nice trim. Totally shaved? Mmmm; PERV-flag goes right up. That's just me, though. *shrug* And yeah, the dude should trim. Not shave, but definitely trim. Nobody wants a forest of two and a half inch hairs in the way.

I prefer man-scaping all over Vs. unruly body hair for my Hunny. However, I don't think completely shaved is strange or unattractive or juvenile as some other posters have suggested.
Get a set of clippers just for that and try some trimming of chest hair and back hair if any, also downstairs and see how that goes for you. I think it is personal decision, try asking your gal pals what they think. Go for the trim first then for the shave. Hope that helps, good luck!

TRIM... not shaved completely.
shaving the twins is okay, but you want to leave some above the general area, if you catch my drift. It's more attractive in my opinion.
Shaved completely either looks like a little boy or like a rash.
Too bushy looks out of control.
Trim it up, boys.

I looks a little weird but I do it because that is a part of the body, like your armpits that doesn't get much of the way of air so bacteria will tend to accumulate because the hair creates heat and heat creates perspiration. It is simply good hygiene.

Personally I prefer the man to be natural down there cause there tends to be stubble that can irritate. But that's just me. Alot of men like to do it for hygenic reasons. It is a very personal thing.

I prefer the bad-@ss caveman type, so men shaving is a big no-no for me. I want him hairy and full of testosterone.
