everytime he shower, twice daily, his two year old daughter showers with him as well, is it normal or right to shower especially nude, with your child, daughter, from when they were real small to 2 1/2 years old? I never showered with my father and never seen him nude so maybe why this might sound strange to me? But these days you never know? I would be grateful for some feed back from all points of view!

I understand that there are good fathers out there,I just was wondering about being naked, and with the opposite sex? I think it is strange that we come into this world nude but nowdays, with some ill intensions of certain sick people,we look at being nude with our child with way more judgement. I dont believe is my business to interfere in their parenting skills,I have no kids myself, however I am not gonna mention the details of what brought me to get suspicious, but I cant shake the "bad" feeling that I feel. I know that the mom, whom gets kicked out everyother day, told me that when he showers,he had her bring her to him to shower to and this struck me as odd. too odd to stop thinking about.dont get me wrong, I know we are

I would say at 2, no, it shouldn't be allowed anymore. Under 2, I guess I would be ok with it, not sure. I have 2 girls, neither has ever showered with daddy before. He always said he would feel uncomfortable no matter how little they were.

It all depends. It is okay if it is just an easy way to shower for a single dad. What is he supposed to do with the child while he's in the shower? Let her run around the house? I take my daughter into the tub with me. She has a little seat with suction cups on the bottom. She sits and plays while I shower, then I sit in the bath with her to bathe her. It's much easier on the knees and back. My hubby has done the same. At age two it is only inappropriate if you make it so. Is he a single parent? Is he married? Is the mom there and doing something else? More details are necessary to make a judgement.

I showered with my daughter, and so did her dad at times. I stoped around 3 1/2, cause she was asking too many questions!!! I know that he stopped much earlier, maybe at 1, cause he was uncomfortable. IF you have no fears that anything "bad" is happening, then don't worry about! Make sure the door is unlocked, and walk in once in a while to check on them if your worried. If she gets to be 3 or 4, that is too old to me. I would suggest that she stop soon. My daighter just turned 4, and takes showers on her own!!!! ( I stand outside the shower stall and make sure she is okay, she loves being a big girl like mommy!

I'm a single mom and on occasion I have to choose between letting my sons (now aged 2 and 5) shower with me or letting them be unsupervised while I shower. I choose to have them shower with me, because the other choice is dangerous for them. I usually shower while they're in bed, but it happens sometimes that I have to shower when they're up. My 5 year-old is just about old enough to be trusted unsupervised for 10 minutes, but not yet. At first it feels funny to think of a man showering with his daughter, but what does that really say about our culture? That EVERY man is suspect? There are way more trustworthy fathers out there than child-molesters, yet that's the first place our minds go. Our bodies are natural, and I hate that we impose hang-ups about them on our children at such a young age.

As the father of six, 3 boys and 3 girls, I have bathed each of them in turn as appropriate when needed. Usually my wife attended to the bathing but I certainly took my turns. However, bathing with them is a bit different. When they were very small, I would take them into the bathtub with me when we were in a hurry to get everybody bathed for an outing or for church or something. This was unusual but happened from time to time. I was uncomfortable with it but had no choice in the matter if I wanted to get everybody ready in time. The kids didn't mind at all. I don't recommend that course of action, but there are always going to be exceptions in life. More likely would be to throw the girls in the tub together and then when they were done, to throw the boys into the tub together.
However, I would agree that in general, the father should not bathe, or shower, with his daughters once they are old enough to know the difference. Two or three is probably a good place to draw the line.

I would have to say no because she is 2 years old my parents took showers with me when i was that age they both worked full time and was able to do 2 things at once, It all depends on the kind of father if hes not trustworthy and is a creep then theres something wrong with it.

well you need to look at it the same as a boy and his mom. What age do you think a little boy should stop bathing with his mom? Believe it or not there are some good fathers out there, that wouldnt do anything to their daughters.
My son stopped around the age of 3.5 bathing w/ me, only beacuse he then started to notice a little more, and asked questions. But he still comes in the bathroom with me while Im in the tub., but doesnt see as much he is now almost, 5, now my 10 year old does not.

My son's 3 and showers with me or his daddy they don't understand at this age. He just likes it cause of the water but when they get about 4-5 i think it's time to stop. My son knows what naked is but as far as our private areas he don't do nothing. It's not like i'm teaching sick things he knows the shower and bath cleans your body.

I have been a single father of a girl and a boy since there births and I never showered with either of them. Yet I don't see anything particularity wrong with it. I would how ever be more apt to avoid such communal activities to avoid the nay sayers. I learned as a single father early on to be careful of individuals that have a bias towards men taking care of children.
