American Might?

Why don't we untie the hands of our military and let them go to work. So we can finish this political war?

Unfortunately the people we are fighting do NOT understand kindness. Any show of mercy is perceived as weakness. and Our country to include the politicians just cant seem to grasp this. We do not have the stomach for it. When we entered Iraq and the gloves were off we were not messed with by anyone. Once the press and politicians saw this they wanted us to play social worker. We were then seen as soft and the attacks began. The main reason I see for the switch was the President was looking good and the democrats were being made to look bad< then the attacks and undermining began. Basically if we win the Democrats are made to look foolish and they simply cant allow that. No matter how many of us soldiers are chewed up in their game. Words cannot express my total disgust with our politicians. Its kinda like having open heart surgery and only allowing the doctor to use a butter knife and a pair of pliers. Untie our hands and see how fast we get this **** nipped in the bud.

America's might is being tempered by a bunch of gutless politicians who, like when I was in Vietnam are controlling the course of this war instead of allowing the military to get the job done.

because, like in VietNam, Politicians in the US want to be in charge....We need permission to fire on a target....

How can the military finish a political war which isn't up to them to finish!

Their hands aren't tied, and they have been in Iraq for over 4 years!

The political war is a civil war which we do not even belong in! However, we have to have our puppet government in power and we get their oil, so we kill the very people we said we were liberating!
