If he doesn't hear praise, he is not amused? Also, does he need to hear you telling him he's holy and he's the greatest?

And does the Bible god need to hear a lot of praise as well?

Do you church people realise that your gods do not seem like real deities? They seem more like demi-gods.

God inhabits the praises of His people. Praise Him IN ALL things. (not for all things) You get so much peace from praise.
Where two or three are gathered in his name he is in the midst. It's good to know he is in control. He is Holy and the Greatest and He should be told.
My God is very real, and hopefully you will realize He is before it's too late.

Jesus doesn't need any praise. it's the worshipper's love for him that leads Jesus to be praised. It's man's innate nature to praise something. Look at every religion pagan or not, aren't they all praising a God? and even a non-believer, isn't he praising the famous rock stars by being an avid fan for them? Look at the godless rich man, isn't he giving much praise to his money by being selfish?

I asked a Christian friend of mine "why is God so worried about being loved, what is the point here? This seems like a very human feature..." something to that extent. His answer was God wants to be loved because God is love. You decide if that's a satisfying answer or not.

No...God does not need us to praise him/her.
