i don't have much idea about painting...so if i want to paint an abstract image with just colours...which denotes me and my life..what should be the colours..which i would use?

if i say...i am moody...a bit stupid...short-tempered...deep-thinker...and loves the emotion "love" (love forms a very important part of my life)...

would there be any specific colours which would denote these characterestics?

I remember an art class where we had to compose a painting using only TWO complimentary colors; of course where the two colors overlapped there was a third color created. I chose purple and yellow and did a candle with a stained glass window behind it that was quite interesting.

Colors? Reddish tones create warmth and have for so long depicted "love" (the color of blood?). Blue I think would show moodiness (many famous artists had what they themselves called the "blue years"). Now purple, violet, etc are combinations of BOTH red and blue..........that would show a depth of character and there are SO many shades of mixtures of red and blue to work with...........

Want to create some firey, unexpected passion in the above painting? How about some small area of blended orange?!! (like rays across part of the painting...........just an artist's idea here).

Don't ask..JUST DO IT!

Just smack on anything you feel like. If you bother about the meaning behind the colors your painting will stink..big time.

For a hands on approach I would suggest you put away your brushes for this one and only use your hands...maybe some surgeon gloves but no other utensils.

hope! i hope you know more about painting than i do, cause i know nothing but
red is for anger & love i think & but it makes a room feel hot heat wise so use little of that if its for a large area of a wall
yellow & blue must keep you alert as its supposed to be good for a students study room & again i say I think
but you can just use pastle colours that you like & make you feel good
have fun
