I'm potty training my 3rd child, and the first two never relied on Pull-Ups for potty training. My third, of course, refuses to wear cotton training pants!! Has anyone tried the Pull-Ups with the wet liner (they can feel when wet) or with the cool liner (it makes them feel cool when they wet)? Are these worth my money?

This child will pull off his underwear and pee on the floor...he doesn't care!! So I need to try something different.

I wouldn't do it. They still work more like diapers than they do underwear. My youngest was having some trouble so we tried these, and it made not the slightest bit of difference. The switch to regular underwear is what it took.
Get him regular underwear, or plain training pants with underwear over them, that have all his favorite characters on them. When you get him dressed, remind him that his "underwear friend" (whoever is on the underwear) doesn't like to get dirty, so he needs to go poopoo and peepee in the potty to keep them all clean and dry. Worked with both of my kids. This specifically works well for little boys, who are apparently tickled at the thought of Elmo getting peed or pooped on.

I would skip the pull ups. I would instead stick with the underwear (even if he pulls them off) and put the focus on the reward he will get when he uses the potty. Make it a fun thing, not a chore or else it will just become a battle of wills. Point out that he won't get to go to school unless he uses the potty and put a big kid reward in it - a trip to a one of those bouncing places or somewhere similar or maybe the new Spider Man movie or something - hone in on something that will make it worth his while. Then when he does use the potty, make a huge deal of it, confetti, songs, dancing around, call everyone he knows to spread the news, etc. As long as you guys have diapers and pull ups in the house, they will serve as a crutch to you both. Make a big deal of getting rid of the diapers because he is big now.

Honestly i wouldnt waist ur money on pull ups. I tried them (even the ones with the liners) and my son just looked at them and thought "just a different type of diaper. Give ur kid the option of being naked or of wearing underwear. If he gets embarassed easily then he'll choose the underwear. It wont be easy and he might cry and make a big fuss but he'll get over it.
Good Luck

been there and tried all of them. none worked for my son. nor did they work for a friend of mines daughter. watch him and when you see the undies go down run him to the potty. take him once an hour every hour. its that simple. those pull ups wont work. they only stay wet for a few seconds then in warms or drys a away. hubby and i tested each kind with water. they work great for naps bedtimes and extended periods when out like long car trips or when running errands and you might not be able to get to a potty

i have tried the ones that fade when wet, they didnt seem to help my son, but i am about to try the cool alert ones now, i also have him some cool character undies that he helped me pick out. we shall see what happens. hes actually kinda attatched to the diapers, so i think its gonna be tough. but good luck with the pullups, also huggies makes a nite time pull up now thats not goodnites. that may be helpful at nite time to keep the pull up theory going . :)

They didn't help my son at all - he would pee in them just as readily as a regular pullup or diaper. Whatever this cool sensation they were supposed to get, it didn't faze my son a bit!
