I wouldn't say that there is a "best place" but the places that you find time to be alone with each other is always going to be the best. Not unless you like the whole spontaneity thing and don't care if you get caught by someone else then that would open the possibilities to a whole wide range of places.

Wherever you are most comfortable. However, if this is your first time, I would avoid the back seat of a car or the kitchen table. My favorite place was on a bearskin run in front of a lighted Christmas Tree, but then you'd have to wait six months before you can do it.

My wife's favorite is parked at the end of the runway in the back of my pick-up while the planes take off at night. I personally like on a soft blanket or animal skin rug in front of a roaring fire, the feel of the warm skin. We tried the beach but the sand was too much to handle.
