My alcoholic father-in-law goes to church every sunday. He cursed every day when he has no money to drink, but for some reason he never curses on Sundays.
He claims he doesn't go for the wine.

Hi Do not mix religion with Jesus.Religion is mans idea of what God wants.And many religions try to change a person with unrealistic idealism.Jesus is not like that at all when you get to know Him.He does give you a choice.Jesus loves everyone.But the end result is do you love Him.Religion actually does more harm than good.It might sounds like I am generalizing and I admit to it Most do more harm than good.If you can feel the same way you do after being in prayer with Jesus in a personal relationship that is loving when you walk out of church than I say you have found a winner of a church.,and a rare one at that.So I can deffinately see why people are turned off by church and religion.Think about it.God bless.

I don't understand why you would ask such a question. It is not a question but rather a statement against religion. Bashing religion makes no sense. If you do not like it, that is fine. Being rude to Christians serves no purpose.

I don't really know, but I know that some churches use grape juice now. I suppose they don't even need wine to help them swallow the BS. The brain washing works just fine thank you very much.

LOL it started out as wine and it turned into blood to take the body and blood of Christ. Which is kinda gross when you think about it, but it brings them comfort in thier faith and there is nothing wrong with that either.

Churches like every one else has there faults but I
have never known of anyone making fun of God nor His
followers while on there death bead. You can bet your
life there is no God if you really want to. Down deep
inside do you really want to bet your soul?

I went to friggen southern baptist churches who used grape juice instead of wine. I was so robbed!!
